This EP was born to bruise sound-systems with its wicked electric fusion of searing basslines and otherworldly soundscapes.

Opening with fierce breakbeat on ‘In Bed With My 808’, before bleeding into ‘His Name Was Reese’; an unrelenting, four to the floor anthem, the project is concluded with the mind-melting ‘true-blue’ and its remix by Radioactive Man.

From the acid-tinged basslines to the pulsating synths and distorted vocals that perfume the soundscape, Albert Road is a burning cauldron of sound.

Dee Dee’s Picks proudly presents its 15th edition, spotlighting another key figure in the Romandy underground electronic scene and a founding member of CAF?, bringing a sense of coming full circle after the collective's feature a year ago.

Lukas Stocklin, aka GANJ, showcases through EXPTYII his signature raw energy and eclectic sound that he has been honing over the years. It serves as a rich continuation of his past work, while introducing something fresh and unmistakably his. The industrial grit remains, but the sound design has become more refined, seamlessly blending elements of rave, dubstep, and breakbeat.

The beauty of this release lies in its theme of spontaneous collaboration among friends. Featuring a lineup of artists, founders, and members from the CAF? collective – Renée Van Trier, Catherine Danger, VRVN, Wonky Ouija, PussyR, and OPA CITY with 28 Partner – EXPTYII offers a showcase of talent from the shores of the Léman lake These contributions aren’t mere features; they act as an organic extension of what CAF? has built around their lakeside world. Each artist adds their unique touch to GANJ’s minimal yet hard-hitting style, resulting in collaborations that feel natural and effortless.

Reflecting on GANJ’s talent for crafting atmospheres from simplicity is particularly evident in how the vocalists reinterpret the tracks and making them their own, while GANJ’s bass-driven sound keeps everything grounded. Each track captures a moment in time, infused with snapshots of intimate exchanges between close friends, crafted through live modulation and hands-on production. It evokes the energy of fog-filled clubs, where the smoke machine never stops and the sound systems are stacked so high they graze the ceiling, all while you're surrounded by your favourite people.
