Hottrax continues to spotlight tomorrow's talent with the arrival of Manchester-based duo MINDLESS., who make their label debut with the bold and club-focused 'Turn It Up' EP.

Formed by Harry Carvell and Kieran Dearden, MINDLESS. is a fresh name emerging from the UK's house landscape. Having only launched the project earlier this year, the pair have quickly gained traction, catching the attention of tastemakers and DJs alike. Now, just months after their first single, they step onto Jamie Jones' influential imprint, joining a catalogue renowned for championing future sounds.

“Honestly, we can’t believe that in the space of six months we have gone from making our first track together for fun after work, to getting a Hottrax EP - a label that was only considered a dream to release on back in February. We thought it might be a joke because we really didn't expect this so soon! The title track 'Turn It Up' kicks things off with crisp drums, snaking bass, and a tight looping groove that keeps momentum at its core. Meanwhile, 'Taste It' pushes the energy further, blending darker textures with subtle low-end pressure. It's a confident debut that signals an exciting start for the Manchester pair as they join a new wave of artists pushing things forward.

Who would've thought one of the first female skateboarders and a psych rock singer would spawn a house music prodigy? If you've seen RA's Real Scenes LA docko, then you might've noticed Sage casually rolling some 'herbs' while being interviewed, so maybe it's not hard to fathom after all... These tracks are not one bit spaced out though, they're all sharp, layered, banging house tracks. Like his previous EPs on Spring Theory and Huxley's No Idea's Original, Sage somehow manages to keep things exciting while using very traditional house structures. I guess it's all in the detail.

The always on-point and culturally significant Tuskegee Music is back with more essential music, this time from venerated American producer D’Marc Cantu.
Over the course of a distinguished career, Cantu has contributed to everything from jackbeat to acid, house to techno on labels like Creme Organisation and Les Disques De La Mort. Always serving up raw-edged, uncompromising sounds, he does so again here on another standout EP.
Opener ‘Beat The Move’ is an urgent, high tech piece of slick and supple acid house with 303 undulations, dark vocal loops and the sort of hammering drums that get the club locked right in.
The sublime ‘In The Forest’ is a tripped out bit of restless electro with skittish hits and rueful pads that gets right to your heart.
Last of all is the militant, marching ‘A Narrow Connection’ which closes things out with crisp kicks and scintillating sheet metal drums that straighten your back and get you stomping.
These are utilitarian yet wonderfully unique club tracks from a real master of the form.
