Secret Crunch is a label fresh out of the oven run by fellow Vienna-based artists Roman Rauch and Moony Me. 
Both musically rooted in HipHop, Soul, Funk and Disco and expressing themselves mainly through House Music, it was just a matter of time until they first collaborated together. Thoughts about releasing their output together through an own label came naturally soon after.
The first release of Secret Crunch is a pure collaboration between them plus two additional remixes – one by Gnork and another by Medlar & Ishmael.

Lagaffe Tales is a record label based out of Reykjavík, Iceland run by two DJ’s and producers Viktor Birgisson and Jónbjörn Finnbogason. Founded back in 2012, the label has been busy with 4 vinyls and 19 digital releases to date featuring artists such as Coeo, Moony Me, Davíð & Hjalti, Felix Leifur, Moff & Tarkin, Malouane and many more.
ILO is one of the more unique producers coming from Iceland past 20 years. In 2011 he became a widely known name on dancefloors around the world with his edit of New Musik’s classic ‘Warp’ and more recently with the 2017 hit ‘Everybody’ on OOFT!’s label Foto Recordings. ILO has a great catalogue of releases on labels such as Rebirth, S-Hit Records and Thule’s legendary offshoot 66 Degrees Records dating back to 2001. He’s also been a much sought-after remixer through the years. ILO has made remixes for some of Iceland’s widely known artists, for example, Sigur Rós, Múm and GusGus. Having him finally in the Lagaffe family is a great honour.
The two tracks take the listener on a ride in terms of length, Take You To Love by ILO is a two track piece divided into the A side : Take You To Love and the B side : Miracles. Take You To Love is a slow breaky ode to the Naked Music’s 90s classic ‘I’ll Take You To Love’. It’s unconventional bpm, diva vocals and breakbeats make an interesting combination that hits you right in the feels. On the flip side is the house anthem ‘Miracles’ which offers more soothing vibes, but still hits you heavy with a thumping bassline and soulful vocals. “I still believe in miracles” it keeps repeating in your head for a hypnotizing 15-minute journey. ILO’s style of arranging the tracks without rushing hypnotizes the listener, and before you know it you’ve gone on a 15-minute ride through ILO’s vast soundscape.

Bolting Bits favorite Ben Gomori, the label head of Sterns Edits, is once again coming out with a new edition of his official Afro Edit series where he and others produce house-friendly versions of some of the best African-influenced music from around the world. For his 5th edition, Ben has decided to rework the talented band Yabba Funk, who are a group of musicians and friends that formed together in 2006 in Brixton. Throughout their time together, they have released two albums with Sterns Music and have performed numerous acclaimed live shows — including support slots for Seun Kuti and Ebo Taylor.

This EP includes an edit and dub from Mr. Gomori himself of Yaaba Funk's track "Hwe Hwe Mu Na Yi Wompena." However, the tune we are spotlighting today comes from Danvers, one half of the duo Kassian, who has been tearing it up on his own on labels such as Curve Records, Boogie Cafe, and Ben's other imprint Monologues. In his latest effort, Danvers takes the infectious energy of "Oman Foa" into a triumphant new direction, with one of his broken beat rhythms at its core — recalling his big summer track 'Aye Ata' which received heavy support from the likes of Gilles Peterson and Midland. With a succinct arrangement that lets the joyous brass and powerfully harmonized vocals shine potently, it's feel-good party music that works wonders when deployed at the right place and time.

Starting slowly with enticing clinking and tinkering as percussive instruments find their melodic feet, ‘Lamantin’s Dream’ is pure elegance. Russian native, Anton Bogomolov aka Scruscru is back at it following his super successful ‘Romantik EP’ released on Minor Notes Recordings in 2018. Scruscru liberates listeners with soulful experimental beats and an array of notes, keys and sounds that come together with a glorious garage beat brewing just underneath the surface. Tranquil vocals lace the 2-step school house beat. It is safe to say, this records has been released at the perfect time of year, with its bouncy twinkling uplifting musical emotions, this EP will no doubt be forming part of my summertime playlist.

Since 2015, the label continue to deliver the best representation and variety of Latin American electronic music - so many beautiful crossings of genres and rhythms from artists such as Felipe Gordon, Discoholycs,  Nico Saavedra, 4004 plus more.The ’Cruise EP’ is a perfect fit for the label, the artwork, the musical themes and the crips production come together effortlessly. ‘Lamantin’s Dream’ carries us across the ocean on a bougie yacht into the middle of the Caribbean sea, surrounded by beautiful people, sunshine and good vibes. Dom Bird is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and DJ from Brisbane, Australia. Known as part of indie-disco band, Mitzi, and one half of house duo, Chord Memory Band, Bird also co-founded the radio show and label, Beats Of No Nation.
Yemayá, Bird’s first solo EP is undeniably intimate. Written and recorded over one night, Yemayá draws inspiration from Afro-Latin culture, blending sounds derived from a synthesizer, guitar and drum machine with samples taken from a recording session with percussionist, Gus Cereijo. 
“Since moving to NYC a few years ago, I’ve been fortunate to spend time in places that I’d previously only read about or seen in movies. I found that diasporic communities in Brooklyn, Detroit and Havana - although extremely unique in their own right - share a common musical thread, a certain energy that is deeply entrenched, raw and fluid. I was trying to channel that vibe.”
Released July 5th on Beats Of No Nation, Yemayá is a celebration of creation, love and healing.

The second release on Ravanelli Disco Club comes from french producer Yann Polewka. He's enlisted jazzy englishman Cody Currie for remix duties and we must say its perfect for the summer. Cody Has been moving away from sample based productions of late in favor of crisp original productions and we like it!. This is a very warm and bouncy affair, with live keys laid down in the studio with squiggly synth leads and bubbling acid arps dancing away over his clever use of the original sample material given.
