Oblako Maranta, the tribal techno and weird disco duo formed by Russian producer Radial Gaze and Italian A-Tweed, are set to make their debut on the label with their EP, ‘Maranta Kicks’. The EP consists of three original tracks and a powerful percussive remix by German poet and musician Bryan Kessler.

The duo has already released several tracks in different compilations by Samo Records, Electric Shapes, Playground Records, Rotten City, and many more. With ‘Maranta Kicks’, the duo brings their wild drums, analog synths, odd magic samples, and deep “Maranta” kicks to their first EP.

The opener is “Mongol Triol”, a track with tribal trance-inducing percussion, and deep basses. The synth-artificial jungle takes you on an expedition, gradually revealing a mysterious lead created with a TB 303 while the ethereal voices resonate in the background and keeps the journey alive. The following cut, “Pumas”, is slow, somniferous, and powerful. Resonant and metallic synths play in the background, while the rhythm slowly gains strength to enter the machine's gears. The non-stop percussion adds to the overall effect.

Bryan Kessler's remix follows, a lively and energetic cut. Sharp sounds accelerate the pace, welcomed by a fat and solid bass, playful and resounding percussion, snare rolls, and sedative vocals. The EP closes with ‘Vega’s Glove’, a frenzied and wild track. Melting synths generate the atmosphere, while the drum and bassline take you on a journey through a tunnel of delirium and bottomless pit.

The compilation starts with Jakob Mäder’s new track, Morning Sun. The Stuttgart-based artist produced a clear and super emotional house anthem. The tune evolves nicely, following its
touching synths and high energy bass. Its name says it all, probably one of the nicest tracks to play at early morning when the sun rises on the dancefloor. The second track is a more complex mix of italo basslines and rave pads & breaks, winking at the great work of influential artists as Skatebard. While we are still waiting for the summer, with “July Nights North of Bergen” Enzio Etchaberri sends us back to an ocean of memories made of endless nights spent dancing till we fall asleep. The EP closes with ValAir, Mister T. records label owner,’s first track on the label. Choir Offense is an interesting mix, focusing first on powerful and organic drums, leading us through the tune. While it could have been
just another tool, the track reveals another dimension with its rave stabs giving it a deeper touch in direct line with the two other productions of the EP.

Musik Zum Tanzen really appears as a tribute to high energy italo-house and warehouse / rave aesthetics of dancers being in communion all night under the starlight and the bliss of early sunrises.

Mexican artist and Roam alumni Rolvia returns with three psychedelic electronic original offerings backed by remixes from Justin Robertson and Zakmina to form the Megacorp EP. Imagina combines tripped out vocals, live instruments, and synths in a hypnotic mid temp journey. Miss Datos carries the live electric feel into slightly dreamier euphoric territory. Vertices turns up the arps for a fun ride. Up first on the remixes is Justin Robertson who takes Imagina deeper accentuating the dark grooves from the original. Zakmina flips the script with an all out peak time rave version bringing it back to the 90s.

After his first release on Why People War Compilation in March 2022, Montessori is back on the Lithuania-based label Why People Dance with his brand new EP "Smelling a New Flavor." Leftfield-leaning acid, techno, and indie dance mixed as the futuristic and reborn sound of a progressive vibe. Label A&R Jaroška invites Athens' very best, Anatolian Weapons, to make two remixes and complete the whole collection of new and dancefloor-ready flavors.

Montessori is Alfredo Cardenas' project inspired by alternative and post-rock energy, new wave & post-modern techno vibe, and production techniques. Add gnarly Mexican Suburb life where artists seek to find meaning in the arts to this unique mixture and share this vision with the rest of the world.

And that’s it: Our 500th premiere! Wow! What a journey so far! Having the opportunity of reviewing the work of so many outstanding producers has definitely enriched our luggage and invigorated our passion for music. From House to Techno, from EBM to Dark Disco, from Electro to Leftfield, from experimental to impossible-to-pigeonholing stuff… it has been a hell of a ride!

Not so long ago, in July 2019, we did our very first premiere: Günce Aci (SXDNS129) remixed by Leonor (SXDNS034/TAKEOVER002) on Esthétique Records: The remix, “with its oriental atmosphere combined with acid and percussive elements, is a true journey through the unusual hotchpotch of so many musical influences of these great artists”, we wrote on the occasion: https://sxdns.de/premieres/001      

And now, four years later, the magic number. Doing the honours, the super cool Paris-based duo ANTIDOT formed by Remi (beats) and Dorothée (lyrics/vocals), two soulmates who decided to use their talent in order to bring some love to the dance floor. Their debut EP, featuring four retro-infused originals, is coming too-hot-to-trot on the British powerhouse NEIN Records and is a true showcase of the couple’s capabilities.

Premiered here, “Mister Imposter” heralds some of the main influences of the twosome by delivering a “Miss Kittin & The Hacker meets Patrick Cowley” aura with its absurdly fat bassline and physical vocals. Solid! And that the marathon to the 1.000th begins!
