Roam alumni Freudenthal teams up with Jake the Rapper to deliver a nostalgic homage to 1982. In sound, mood, and feeling the original takes it to the 80s with fun and kitsch underpinned by stylish drums, synthesizers, and electronics. The single is backed by two expert remixes by Darlyn Vlys and Lauer. Darlyn Vlys offers a stripped back punchy version while keeping true to the mood of the original. Lauer strips it back even further with vocoders and an 808 and while it deviates from the original it too could just as easily come out of the 80s. Rounding it out is an instrumental version of the original because sometimes you just want the instrumental.

This special compilation of 8 edits si brought to you by producers from 20 to 50 years old, it's here to show you that good music knows no age.
A special mention goes to Alpine DJ from Bordeaux with a killer rework, as it's his first release.
Some of the tracks on here have been playing around a lot by some of the biggest names in the game and have turned a couple of heads, like Lau Tropico's "Tamma Tamma" or even RFX's "Blue 周一".
No introduction is needed for Skyrager (1/2 of Psychemagik) whose digging skills are as big as his heart and has conceived a top notch DJ tool edit.
And the last 5 to grace us with their gift are two collectives of DJs who are making their imprint on the music scene such as the duo Dharma Collective from the UK & Jitter from France.

Hailing from the catacombs of Paris, Mon cher Guy and Zaratustra are joining forces in this new release !

After throwing multiple parties with their collective Orchessons, and releasing tracks on various labels, they decided to gather in the studio to practice some musical witchcraft.

Blending electronic sonorities with some hints of 80s rock, they made extensive use of electric guitars, vintage drums and old-school synthesizers to create a nostalgic and mesmerizing feel. Despite all tracks being set in a dreamy and a nocturnal atmosphere, with the hurling wolves and vampires of « Night Creatures », or the eerie atmosphere of « Incantations », this EP is firstly about melancholy, from « White Magic » opening the dance, full of hope and cheesiness, to the irrevocable « Nevermore » closing it.

Giving a trancy twist to « White Magic », we’re super pleased to welcome Brandski for the first time on the label, with this club ready remix ! And because we couldn't resist putting our fingers in the mix, label boi Austher also gave his epic italo touch to « Night Creatures » !

Emmet Read impresses with ‘Dancefloor Connection’, a driving chunk of muscular, sweat-soaked workout disco that pairs heavy, cowbell-driven drums and sleazy, Moroder-influenced bass with warming chords and alien electronics. 

It provides a genuinely joyous, life-affirming conclusion to Bodywork Records’ must-check debut release.

Maximum Flavour - the new project spearheaded by Matt FX and Giorgio Beatsaface - serves a dose of cheeky nostalgia with ‘Chef’s Kiss’, their debut original offering via Disco Halal. It’s a track that transports dancefloors back to the 80s, back to that classic New York dance music era where queer self-expression and the infamous Paradise Garage sound reigned supreme. With its glistening synths, rolling drums, and trademark jock-jam vocal drop, Maximum Flavour present a stadium-sized interpretation on the Hi-NRG sub-genre, mixing past and future to create a sense of unbridled joy.
On the flip side, label head Moscoman gives his trademark touch, adding an array of drums that up the pace of the track, making it perfect for those peak time moments. Like legendary productions duos before them, Maximum Flavour makes larger than life music for big room play. ‘Chef’s Kiss,' with its unique reference points, is a head-turning opening statement and one that carves its own lane. This is just the beginning of what looks to be quite the explosive journey for this exciting twosome.

On hand with the right solutions… Tech Support returns after a string of releases for Nocturne, Futureboogie & Silver Bear last year, making his debut on Ano Ano with a sublime serenade of subtle-but-shining gems, perfect for those warm-ups, wind-downs or 3am wig-outs.

One of his most comprehensive, accomplished and considered EPs to date, ‘Feelings Electric’ continues to refine and hone the London-based artist’s love for that timeless, well-oiled dark synth funk. To mark the release of all 17 remixes of Plaisir de France's debut album, '#20', the Frenchman serves up some fantastic reworks featuring Damon Jee, Tim Paris, Badknife and Polocorp (among others).
Plaisir de France is well known for his remixes and collaborations with the best of the new French pop scene.
He has worked with everyone from Regina Demina and Bertrand Belin to Arnold Turboust or Barbara Carlotti and his debut album from 2021 featured 27 collaborations that explored everything from club sounds to introspective home listening, dark grooves to happy house.

Local Suicide release the last of four remix EPs for their debut album, 'Eros Anikate', named after the ancient Greek god Aphrodite.

The Greco-German DJ and Producer couple are known for their wild fusion of new wave, acid, slow techno, EBM, and dark disco and have been driving live audiences into a frenzy across the globe with captivating performances and live sets. Their propulsive grooves have earned them the title of key figures in the up-rising dark disco scene, as well as overwhelming support from the music press worldwide for their releases to date. Their debut 'Eros Anikate' comes after 13 EP releases and is the next step on their journey to a worldwide cobra wave and techno-disco takeover. The album includes selected vocal features and collaborations from Lena Platonos, Curses, Theus Mago, Kalipo, Sissi Rada and more, and received immense support from the likes of Mixmag, Spiegel, Tsugi, Faze, Inverted Audio, Sonic Seducer, Starwax, Side Line, Ransom Note, Groove, The Sun, Kaput Mag, Electronic Groove, Deutschlandradio Kultur, Lifo, Spotify and Apple Music.

'Eros Anikate - Aphrodite Remixes' is a 6-track EP featuring the album version and two new remixes of 'Agapi feat. Sissi Rada' and the same for 'Homme Fatal feat. The Hidden Cameras'. Both album versions were previously released on the digital 'Eros Anikate', but this will be the first time released on vinyl. For 'Agapi', the duo teamed up with their close friend, Sissi Rada, a classical-trained harpist and singer from Athens who plays with Greek orchestras worldwide. She has worked with other legends such as Lena Platonos, Brian Eno, and Andi Toma and recently released her album 'Nanodiamond’ which features the latter. A harpist at her core, the influence of her angelic instrument shines through her sound and style, which is evident in 'Agapi'. The stripped-back, minimal track soothes the soul and contrasts the energy from the rest of the album. Her enchanting vocals urge listeners to let go of fear and trust and surrender to the most powerful force humans can feel; love. On 'Homme Fatal', Local Suicide joined forces with one of Canada's most mercurial legend, Joel Gibb, aka The Hidden Cameras. Known for his raucous and provocative performances celebrating freedom and sexuality, Joel lends his sassy and classy voice to the EBM anthem. It aims to capture the surreal atmosphere of queer parties in Berlin, where the music is stomping and people are free. The track's rusty synths, heavy kicks and staggering snares create a liberating march meant for the club stage. The EP will be released on digital and 12" vinyl via their Iptamenos Discos imprint on December 16th, 2022.

The second remix of 'Agapi' is by Wiener Planquadrat, who return to Iptamenos Discos, having already released 2 successful EPs on the label and several collaborations and remixes with Local Suicide. Wiener Planquadrat is formed by Maximilian Atteneder from Catastrophe & Cure and Michael Weiler, a former member of Luv Shack's Burning Tears. Their work is a union of their two musical backgrounds, mixing indie, dark disco, and a decent portion of French electro, reminiscent of the first times they met. Their remix completely reimagines the track, bringing in plucked synths, a classic 80s style beat, delayed percussion and distorted, screechy stabs that contrast heavily with Sissi Rada's angelic vocals. The soft synth pads break the energy to remind us of the soothing ambience of the original track before plunging right back into the chaotic energy of the club-ready remix.
