Rambal Cochet (aka St Petersberg’s Konstantyn Isaev aka Volta Cab) lands on Wrong Era with four electronic snapshots suited to the more robust dancefloor. Opener,Leptis Magna, builds and twists through subtle plateaus’ towards a storm of climactic strings that clear to reveal momentary elation. Elation becomes soundtrack suspense on Fabrizio Mammarella’s remix, stripping back the parameters (while bringing the rhythm to the fore), resulting in a driving, tunnel trancer. Enter The Infinite is a steady builder; each tweak charming you towards twilight’s dancing silhouettes. Cyrillic balearic vocal’s melodise The Hidden Magenta, which locks you in it’s groove’s exotic, growing, immediacy.

Most of the DJ world doesn't know who Guillaume Teyssier is. You're missing out. But that's ok, we're gonna help you here with 2 magnificient remixes of Teyssier's music. One is by Tigersushi's long time collaborators Principles Of Geometry. They go deep, like very deep, diving underwater with this shimmering remix of a very well known French pop hit from the 80s that Guillaume covered on his album. The other one is from a newcomer from Australia. Murray Lake runs a beautiful studio there and you can hear that in the lush production of this long epic Space take on Vortex Disco. A perfect set opener.

It was such a hot day in May 2014, we all remember, Moscoman drop by his home town of Tel Aviv to do a party with Krikor aka Crackboy as his guest, they had a few hours to kill just before the gig, Mosco rang up his old compadres and brothers in arms Red Axes, to see what they were up to, they were just hanging at the studio, “We’re coming” he said, and the rest is history, thanks to the taxi driver Abed that was waiting downstairs to take them to the gig, they had vocals to finish this track and Mosco had the chance to play this track that night already . Powered by A uncompromising mix from no doubt one of the best producers of electronic music, Roman Flugel, and another killer by Red Axes, not a lot is left to do but wait for this monster record to drop.

Hard Ton, Italy's extravagant duo of all things house music are back on Luv Shack Records, unleashing six steaming hot tracks on the "Queer Nation EP" - a precursor to the first full Hard Ton album that is due for 2017. "Queer Nation" has singer Max swapping his falsetto with a dark mangled voice, paying tribute to some essential queer icons over a dry acid house track that rejoices in repetition, and rightly so. "Classic Music" head-honcho and old timer Luke Solomon's remix of "Queer Nation" builds up an intense 707 drum pattern, underlining rhythm guitars and Max's voice, ending in a bold acid climax. Italian newcomers "Younger Than Me" also take on "Queer Nation", marrying an early 80's wave touch with a classic house approach. When Hard Ton pair up with ROTCIV, "Style Ga-Galore" awaits us. The cut up hushed vocals are thrown into a lush melange of filtered pad shots, a 303 bassline and a percussive house groove. "Yeah Yeah" featuring Moralez & Sames is an ode to early Detroit and Chicago house, with Max singing vigorously, syncopated hihats swirling and stabs nodding towards lil Louis. The final track is a LeSale disco dub of "The Way You Rock feat. Mirror People". LeSale strips the original drums completely, rearranging the vox, piano and synths to fit his disco workout edit style, adding a cheeky synth bassline to complete the boogie redress. Following releases this year on XXX and Nein, Italian duo Younger Than Me now make their debut on Jennifer Cardini and Noura Labbani’s Dischi Autunno with an outstanding, explorative, yet inherently (and beautifully) 90s-feeling five-track EP.
Three originals, two remixes: ‘Mind Hunter’ leads the cosmic charge, ploughing us beyond the known universe on a ship of acid and pulsating warm analog synths. ‘Feeling Breath’ takes us even deeper into electronica’s most formative decade with an uptempo thrust, more acid and wry elements of trance before ‘Sewer Rat’ takes us deep underground with much more of a percussive techno twist. 
Remix-wise Jennifer has recruited the perfect complementary artists: Acid Junkies (who made the first record she ever learnt to DJ with back in 94) flip ‘Sewer Rat’ into an almighty acid juggernaut while Shan once again reminds us why he’s the master of modern rave a stunning eight-minute, break-based twist on ‘Feeling Breath’.

Following her recent outings on Optimo and Butter Sessions, Matisa wants to take you to another special place. It's not here. It's not there. It's 'Elsewhere'...

Making her debut on Biologic, young Italian newcomer Matisa's adventure is plotted around three atmospheric, soul-affirming late-night gems that are all based around different chapters of the night and the mindset that comes with it. Loaded with an additional Kim Ann Foxman remix, this trip has something for everyone.

We start with 'I Need A Bit Of Poetry', Matisa's yearning for substance and meaning wrapped up in a bright, breezy timeless piece of house music that borders on the majestic realms of progressive. Think about poetry in all forms of life... Connections, adventure, but most of all – music.

Deeper into the trip we glide; first comes Kim Ann Foxman's crisp electro twist on 'I Need A Bit Of Poetry' which maintains that evocative rave vocal but switches up everything else for something much darker. Next we hit 'Are You Not Sleepy?' Inspired by the post-show brain chaos mindset we can all relate to, it's up-tempo, it's trance-influenced, it's Matisa capturing that infuriating but exciting fizzy inspiration and adrenaline rush we all experience after a fulfilling show.

For the final chapter of this accomplished label debut, 'The Curtain Falls', Matisa takes us back to the source of that adrenaline rush. A bubbling disco house thumper, all reverbed drums and big synths, it's inspired by the moment when your set kicks in and the crowd are right behind you every track of the way and you lay your soul down bare for everyone to enjoy. If there's a place more special than that, we've yet to find it. Welcome to Elsewhere... We ain't going nowhere.

Love Trax is the new EP of Disco Mortale on Beat is Murder , after a pretty succesfull collab release on Espacio Cielo Disco Mortale goes solo with the French Label presenting two hybrid powerful tracks: Love Trax with elements of EBM & rolling complex bassline  a russian voice talking about love surrounded by obscure sounds that remid of some mistycal early techno Vibes , Voices Inside an obscure tune with techno soul and Italo Backbone and low dark voice speaks an incomprehensible language right into your ears. Extra fire power is provided by Celestino's heavy hypnotic remix and his juicy shuffled beat and Did Virgo's proper stomping Disco Dark Mix.
Love Trax will be out on November the 6th.

PREMIERE: Disco Mortale - Voices Inside

Vilnius-based label and platform Electric Shapes starts 2021 with the second volume of its acclaimed compilation series “Unreleased Territories”. Featuring an interesting selection of artists from all over the world, such as Jokios Kultūros, Kolomensky, Tassilo Vanhöfen, Facets, Fabio Me Llaman Soltero (SXDNS187), Neud Photo, Anastasia Zems (SXDNS169), Anatolian Weapons, Volta Cab, Wolfstream, and A-Tweed (SXDNS222), just to name a few, the release invites you to this true musical trip through the depths of this mesmerising concoction of sonorities. 

We have the privilege of reviewing the contribution of one of our favourite producers: Ukrainian Volta Cab, currently based in Saint Petersburg, Russia, is acclaimed not only for his productions but also his live sets. His many an influence allows him to competently flirt with several music genres. This time, he decided to go for something more cosmic and trippier. The melodic bell-like lead allied with the atmospheric pads and the arpeggiated synth layer provided a hell of a theme, definitely one of the highlights of the compilation.  

We finish the review with a beautiful message from the label team: “We really hope you enjoyed this musical trip through different parts of our magical planet. While we’re stuck inside during this crazy pandemic, we wish our music has helped you to escape, at least in your mind and soul. Stay healthy and stay alive!”

Bawrut and Chico Blanco join forces for a meeting of minds between Madrid and Granada and is remixed by Super Drama, Kristy Harper and Beigean along the way. Originally an outing on the Pen Pals compilation in Spring last year, the love affair between Bawrut and Chico Blanco has deepened ever further on this release.
