The next instalment of the Slow Motion Soundtracks Serie, this time from Pordenone‘s Alessandro Parisi. Interested in esoteric and religious texts, this comes across loud and clear in his stunning, ethereal E.P Andromeda, which at turns send shivers down your spine and expands your mind. Having released on the likes of Giallo Disco and Charlois, this is Alessandro’s first release on Slow Motion. These ecclesiastical synth workouts are sure to inspire clubbers and thinkers alike. Solid.

Alessandro Parisi - Dimensional Wave Impulse

Mothball Record presents the first collaboration between Hysteric (Public Possession, Fuego International, Bordello A Parigi) and the prolific Shelter (from Uber, Edits du Mellah and International Feel), who are now working together as H&S. Both known for their edit skills and obscure taste, they now bring us dark balearic versions of two underground Italo killers. With strong new beat influences, and two versions of each track for added flexibility, this record can fit easily in different sets.

Taipei Taiwan's brand new label 禁 (JIN) makes a strong impression with compilation like debut. Kick starting with Initials B.B. On A1 - A Trancy house classic layered with floating melody reminiscent of traveling through the wilderness with breeze, while Tokyo's one n only Gonno's A2 remix puts 909 into full force. Stomping kick drum makes this cut a lethal weapon for late night utopia on any dance floors.  

B1 takes a drastic turn to the other spectrum of Taipei underground.  Up & coming local talent Lujiachi sucks you to the dim light of Taipei darkness, night-crawling the way with Industrial drum pattern, spooky East Asian horn and swaggy bassline that's as unpredictable and addictive as there is. B2 & B3 sees Stockholms wizard Samo DJ remixes - showcasing his trademark weirdo slow motion electro / dubby stamps strictly made out of MPC.

"In the cool of the heat" is supposed to be a snapshot of the corner where bad pupils such as electronic beats annoy good pupils like funk and groove.
What is arising from this ? A mix between warm human feelings and rhythm given by the machines. This compilation gathers works of different artists from various music background who helped to keep mr Godot Rising.

She Wanted Some Music

"Feel the Drive" launches a new label with a four-track EP.  First there were the parties, then came the radio shows, and now the label.  Szymek Lawik and Martin Lefteri spend their lives digging up Italo, New Beat and EBM delights, so a record label was a logical progression.  It’s the perfect distillation of their combined tastes and determination to search for new music.  The four-track debut EP features Franz Scala (Bahnsteig 23, Tusk Wax, Cocktail d'Amore), Anatolian Weapons (Beats in Space, Dark Entries), Furor Exótica  (Bordello a Parigi, Sprechen) and the label heads themselves under their Ondata guise (Red Laser, Night Noise Music).  
 
First up is Franz Scala, with “Sabrina”.  A pulsing, new beat thrum bolts out of the gate, setting the pace with conviction. This straight-ahead velocity leans to guitar licks and Italo horn stabs, before you know it, you’re transported - hugging the curves and corners along with the motorik rhythm.   Shifting down a gear , the EP heads east with “Ela” as Anatolian Weapons light up the skies with  slow-burning intensity delivered with conviction. Exotic synth melodies, dextrous string playing and rolling acid lines carve out a unique path through the terrain, leaving no choice but to follow in its slipstream. 
 
Argentinian duo Furor Exótica  pick up the pace with “Fat Training”, an arpeggio-supercharged dancer guaranteed to lift the spirits and recharge the batteries come 3am. This track carries its momentum up front and its boogie in the back.  Closer “Kolossos” is an apt moniker for this no-nonsense, heads-down monster. It’s a neon-lit tunnel late at night, alien light throwing repetitive, yet slowly shifting shapes against sheer walls as you move through.  “It’s not as bad for humankind to be dominated by me than to be dominated by others of your species” a voice intones as we reach our destination. It’s metal machine music to save us from ourselves.
