Now marking his third album release, after countless remixes and EPs, the Panorama Bar resident widens the horizon of his musical contributions by launching a label “deep as the ocean” as the name suggests, and open to different musical genres.The first instalment comes from James Booth. Known also as The Gardener and North Vest, the Manchester born producer has been known for his distinctive deep sound very dear to Los Angeles based imprint 100% Silk and Hamburg's Growing Bin Records that released his latest LP in 2017.“Bath Time” is a thrillingly deep-cosmic cut rich in melodies and emotions. The EP starts off with aspaced-out, italo classic cut where form assumes a different dimension as the music layers intertwine in an everlasting flow. If the title track seems ironically like a perfect place to start a party night, “Roller Chrome” is an emotional ballad for hopeful dance floors; while “Such Is Life” is a nostalgic piece of balearic tradition.

Taken from the 4 track vinyl EP on the excellent @notananimalrecords label Japanese producer @que-sakamoto Kamakura is a superb slice of funk heavy slo mo house. Smooth keys and robotic synths come together beautifully to create a chuggin dancefloor jam of the highest order.

DSB’s first release consists of a diskomiks by Prins Thomas and two house tracks by Perdu. The Diskomiks has already reached a legendary status in Belgium since it’s free promotional download for Petrol’s summer club in 2013. Getting regular plays by more than a handful of respected DJ’s in the Belgian scene. Even Norse top-producer and DJ, Todd Terje, gave it a spin while closing the Castello at Pukkelpop 2018. It is a track that gives you the summer jitters, and makes you reminisce about those lovely days at the beach.

The B side is completed by promising Amsterdam producer Perdu. First track ‘Tribal Voices’ is a South African bubblegum edit from 1985 track ‘Nhamba Dance’ by ‘The Winners’. The vocals are re-recorded by original producer Selwyn Shandell and authentic African singers. The track has very strong percussive elements, a groovy bassline that makes you want to dance and funky synth lines to complete the whole thing. Second track ‘Yesterday’s Tomorrow’ is one to be played in the clubs. The track starts with a stomping beat and gradually opens up to an oasis of sounds. While adding layer after layer you get absorbed in the atmosphere like you’re in the jungle.

Remixes for every occasion on this one with Skream cranking up the Italo disco-o-meter to 14 on his bass driven peak time banger for large room raving whilst Jorja Chalmers takes the party back to a smoky shebeen on her mix that sounds like Tricky sharing a blunt with Aphex Twin whilst King Tubby twiddles the dials!

Our very own Massey finishes off the package with a mucky tops off style gutter pumper which belongs in those basements you'll often find him and many like minded souls dwelling within.
