Carl Finlow has produced an astonishing catalogue of music over a career spanning three decades, with his discography including hundreds of releases and remixes under a variety of monikers. ‘Desequence’ is the latest edition to Finlow’s expansive productions and a masterclass in electronic music. 

‘Desequence’ kicks off the record with a heavy dose of integalactic funk with interstellar beats rockin’ over squelchy bass lines and razor sharp glitches. While ‘Downstream’ delivers a warped groove wrapped up in Finlow’s intricate programming. 

‘Guttural’ is an overwhelming assault of rapid fire elements, forming complex off kilter breaks littered with robotic licks and served over deep, low end bass. ‘Wavefront’ closes yet another impeccable addition to Finlow’s highly accomplished works, with an off planet adventure through extraterrestrial soundscapes.

Gladio Operations launches its fifth release, which bears
the signature of the excellent Russian producer Larionov. Dmitry is one of the new talents asserting himself and one of the most promising on the European Electro scene, having worked with renowned labels such as Craigie Knowes and Hilltown Disco, among others.

On his Gladio debut, Larionov gifts us with ‘Lost Alien’ an EP permeating with well-constructed electro sounds, where ‘Lost In Space’, an awesome energetic track, opens the pack. ‘Lost In Space’ is accompanied by an additional remix by the owners of the UHF label, on which they delve into EBM terrain, offering a contrasting approach to the original cut.

On the B side, we encounter ‘Alien Friend’ where upon we perceive compact and well-moulded sounds, accompanied by an aggressive bassline, very characteristic in the productions of the Russian artist.

The EP closes with ‘System Error’, a wild and powerful track that will no doubt stimulate your sets in any demanding club.

Anjunadeep is excited to welcome James Shinra to the label with ‘Mainline EP’, a four-track release rooted in electro and breakbeat.

The UK-based producer and DJ has been cultivating his sound since the mid 2000’s, and since his first vinyl release on Null+Void Recordings in 2015 has gained notable support within the UK electro scene. Shinra has released with Feel My Bicep, Craigie Knowes, 20/20 Vision Recordings and more, and gained DJ support from Sasha, Pete Tong, Bicep, Hammer, John Digweed & Ida Engberg to name a few.

‘Mainline EP’ is heavily rooted in the evolution of electronic music that inspired Shinra; it is laden with trance and acid melodies, driving rave breakbeats, 808s, and low rolling basslines. Whilst the EP is inherently club focused, Shinra’s dissonant melodies maintain a powerful sense of introspection and melancholy, distinguishing the record from others in the electro genre.

Isola is Ivana Carrescia, an artist and synthesist based in the Las Vegas desert. For Isola, there is music hidden in every sound around us – the howl of wind, the whirr of traffic, the blank hum of a refrigerator. Isola’s debut EP on Los Angeles's Godmode label pairs her glassy vocals and musique concrète style with minimal house and dub techno reminiscent of early Chain Reaction releases. Istanbul based Aleksandir follows up recent outings on Church,Tessellate and others with his latest album - “Skin”. Releasing this November on Omena.

This record represents a snapshot of the past year in Aleksandir's life. As an album it is one of his most ambitious productions, with recordings of friends, loved ones and moments of intimacy woven into the tracks to tell this personal story. As a producer he has explored various sounds in his back catalogue and this piece of work continues that trend with an exploration of some deeper musical ideas and more experimental sounds backed up with the odd recognisable sample and memorable synth line half heard through a broken, blurry window.

With this record he pushes his sound and the concept further, adding intricate dub details and vocal flourishes that give something more than the stereotypical club track whilst also offering a variety of different cuts that make full use of the format.“Skin” is a collection of disparate influences brought together by a producer with an intimate knowledge of the club scene and what it is truly about. A distillation of sounds and feelings from a period of his life, presented in a thoroughly modern album."I started writing Skin as a break-up album, but found myself in a whole new chapter of my life by the time it was done. It’s about affection and touch, or lack thereof. More than anything it’s a snapshot of the past year of my life, full of recordings of my friends and loved ones, moments of Intimacy, drunken conversations and laughter. Musically and conceptually it’s my most ambitious work to date, and maybe the first project that feels like a true piece of myself."
