The Beatport Awards nominees - a duo from Poland Karol XVII & MB Valence (also known as Jackspeare) present their personal approach to compiling one-of-a-kind underground vibes. "Deep Touch" vol. 1 is a 2CD-Box stuffed with the moment's most credible deep house productions in a driving DJ-Mix, which is something the real fans of good deep house sounds have been waiting for.

CD1 abounds in Karol XVII & MB Valence's music style associated typically with the gentlemen, which allowed them to obtain worldwide recognition. Rolling percussions, clicky basses spiced with atmospheric, gentle leads and pitched vocal bits. Did we mention the groove? It's also there. Loads of it. The repertoire and mixing style you can hear in CD1 will undoubtedly make your bum move on your Saturday night out.

CD2 has been mixed and compiled by Karol XVII & MB Valence's different inner personality, their side project called Jackspeare, responsible for a slower and gentler side of deep house music. All you ever want to have a listen to on a laid-back Sunday when you can still remember your Saturday night out. Unlike the other mix, the tempo and mood of CD2 is going slower and is getting really subtler. All that you need to sit back comfortably in your chair and enjoy every bit of nature.

2016 marks a seminal year for DEMENT3D as the Parisian based label spreads its wings, expanding both its family of artists and its sonic boundaries. Following the excellent collaborative EP from label boss Francois X and Antigone in February, comes a 16-track album from the Lyon-based "electronics maniac and pioneer", Laurent Prot (In Æternam Vale).

Pink Flamingo is a timely reminder of the raw, wonderfully complex productions of the French maestro – from his project's conception in the late 1980s, all the way up to his wilder experimentation in more recent years. Made in 1988, the opening track "Clobenzorex" is one of the many extended and unedited proto-techno jams on the album. The track cements the claims by the likes of James Ruskin, Silent Servant and Regis, that his influence on the current electronic music landscape should be seen in the same light as those heralded in Detroit. Without indication, the thirteen minutes are driven by a complex layering of synths, tinged with soft cymbals and a considerable kick. "Clobenzorex" could easily be identified as one of the 'brand new futuristic experiments' fit for a truly modern dancefloor.

#ATCFD126: Gui And Me - Let Me See U Groove (Original Mix)

De Lichting is a brand new collaborative project between three key underground labels from Amsterdam namely Yield Records, Native Response and Working Titles. All with their own successful solo projects and well established in what they do, the collaboration is “a coming of age story narrated by a bunch of music heads from the same city.” It is a project that sees seven self-confessed music nerds putting their DIY ideals front and centre and coming together to self-release these 13 new and exciting tracks.
Artists Nathan Surreal, queniv, RDS, Scott Franka, Kaap, Eversines, Human Space Machine and Deltitnu all contribute at least one track each to what will be the first in a new series of releases that follow this same diverse collaborative approach. Musically, the tracks cover many shades of house, ambient and techno across four carefully curated sides of vinyl. 
Side A takes in unsettling sci-fi ambiance that turns into spacious and cosmic deep house before dropping back into dreamy, beatless chords.
Side B picks up the pace with slippery electro synths and rubbery grooves that journey through the cosmos before ending up on romantic broken beat bliss.
Side C kicks off with menacing and trippy house which turns to deep acid, loose beat workouts and dubby ambiance then last of all, Side D offers supple mind melting techno and sombre minimal dub. Always inventive and atmospheric throughout, this a varied and vital release that both DJs and dancers are sure to love.
