In pandemic times of telepresences and social distancing, Live At Robert Johnson and Leipzig’s own Riotvan team up for a magical musical mission. Encompassed by the graphic design of Michael Satter & Panthera Krause, each of the five tracks has been created by teams representing both label crews and their environs, rendering a truly synergetic effort.

The ‘Emergence’ series was the first fully-fledged project of Bella Ursa's head honcho Letherique, aimed at experimenting with the boundaries of his many influences – no matter if its techno, disco, electro, or ambient. It helped forge his identity through much trial and error and ultimately led to the creation of the Bella Ursa imprint.

As now is the time to finally move forward in peace, we thought it would be nice to release a mixtape compiling all these early works, along with a few extra and unreleased tracks. To make this collection complete, he entrusted many of his friends met over the years with each producing a remix of their choice. Harnessing the power from a multitude of different scenes, ‘Emergence Remixed’ offers a brand-new journey into uncharted horizons, where Morodesque disco meets mind-altering electro-jazz and cinematic delights reminiscent of Lalo Schifrin’s soundtracks.
It will be released digitally on all platforms, but also on a cassette inside a beautiful smoked UV printed case, which assembles with the first part of the collection.

Phase 1 of the Bella Ursa mothership is now complete.

“Opia“ sees Honingbeer’s musical colors shine, it’s a fully realized vision informed by her background in classical music and her never-ending curiosity about state of the art production. The result is big, dramatic and bold. It’s filled with emotional warmth and sincerity. It’s pure and constantly surprising in the best possible way. It’s Neo-Classic. But it isn’t, really. So, if you are of the opinion to exactly know how music made by violin and electronics sound like, Honingbeer will prove you wrong.

Her debut EP for Bigamo was written during the pandemic while she was living alone - and partly didn’t have a home, actually. Opia, by definition, is a defect in vision. In terms of Honingbeer’s music, it refers to a rather different kind of self-reflection, as she wasn’t shying away from challenging her mirror image to take her to the deepest discomfort hidden in her subconsciousness. The effect of this journey was a cathartic one, as it made her reach a new found musical autonomy while she learned to understand solitude as something that makes her feel safe and sound. 

Sometimes, in order to decide if something’s good or bad for you, you have no other choice than placing yourself right in the midst of it. Honingbeer did exactly that while writing this material. And luckily, she isn’t sparing us the details.

Close to Italy’s fashion metropolis Milan Valerio Vaudano has found home not only for himself but also his labels #Platform and Steamy Pizza Box and operates as a DJ, producer, label-head and basically everything involving electronic music. With preferences for House and Techno music Valerio can look back at the production of hundreds of tracks under several aliases. However, it’s always been most important for him to follow the quality approach rather than putting mediocre music into the (music)market. The before-mentioned quality surely has something to do with the artist's accuracy and passion when producing but also with a career lasting 20 years and covered recording tapes to listen to in the car to sending vinyl in pizza boxes. In an interview with Torture the Artist Valerio speaks about the early days of his career, his favorite House tracks as well as the idea behind his Steamy Pizza Box-label and additionally delivers the latest episode of the art:cast.
