Counterfly’s EP called Èlapimpish is the protagonist of the 14th release of the young, yet rich Apparel Tronic’s catalogue. The experimental imprint is proud to present this incredibly variegated work by the Italian producer (real name Lorenzo Olivieri) who delivers the most musically complete record of his short career. Èlapimpish is a masterly blended mixture of sounds and genres: from the UKB/Techy vibes of “Malapimpish” to the Jazzy/glitchy experimentations of “Consolation” and the more rhythmic “The Lobby”, the eerie atmospheric beats of the title track, the warmer and meeker energy of “No One In The Field” and “Flare”, with its smooth yet firm piano and its spacey vocals. The whole EP is encrusted with sonic details and inputs and perfectly epitomises the Apparel Tronic’s manifesto -not submitting to any genre- collaborating to define yet again the Bliss-Beat sensation.

Not many people knew about the wonders of this underground party. It was, and always had been, a word of mouth situation, restricted to those who were non-judgmental and willing to let go of their inhibitions. This is the way it would always be: it ensured the space to be safe, sacred and untouched, and the partygoers to be faces who'd soon become friends and not remain strangers. 

For their next release, a digital two-tracker titled The Leisure Hive, NYC's Throne Of Blood link up three Philadelphian artists: Optimo and Les disques de la mort signees Zillas On Acid and Permanent Vacation and Mister Saturday Night alumni Alex Burkat. The three artists first met at Dave P's Making Time parties where the former duo have been resident DJs for years. It's this night that inspired the idea behind this new release: two "psychedelic dance floor jams" that are custom-made to soundtrack the frivolities at open-minded soirees like Making Time.

Hissarlik returns to Death Decay Magic for his first solo EP on the label with ‘Fragments’, accompanied by remixes from Black Light Smoke, Man 2.0 and Tronik Youth.

Born in Lille, Georges Lofferdo, aka Hissarlik, has released killer material across the darker realms of electronic music for over a decade. Fusing shady electro and hypnotic techno, his productions can be found across labels such as Elektrodos Recordings and Urban Connections. Returning to Death Decay Magic following his appearance on ‘Dead Beats 1’ last year, April brings the release of ‘Fragments’ - a project inspired by the chaos and challenges of the past year - with remixes from label founder Black Light Smoke, London’s Man 2.0 and Nein boss Tronik Youth.

Opening via the twisting sonics of ‘Alkane’ before journeying into the tense, electro-tinged ‘Daily Life’, the EP showcases the Frenchman’s penchant for the dark and eerie shades of electronic music. ‘Intruder’ ups the energy, fusing harsh metallic tones with sweeping, haunting atmospherics as the elements of the production ebb and flow amongst the mix. Next, Black Light Smoke’s edit of ‘Dancing On Your Grave’ brings the acid as shimmering hats guide 303-fuelled basslines, while Man 2.0’s take on ‘Alkane’ stiffens the track and surges into the peak time via soaring leads and zipping lasers. To close, Tronik Youth’s remix of ‘Daily Life’ delivers a menacing crescendo as zipping electronics and trippy vocals serve up a chuggy final effort.

One of the most important traits at Quixotical Records is uniqueness, music that stands out. No exception is the latest release "Pilots Lounge" by Nickelson who perfectly fulfills the vision of how it should sound. Two original tracks "Negative Energy" and "Pilots Lounge" with two remixes by the founder of Cowbell Radio - Ed Mahon and head of In Dark We Trust - Berny, make this release an absolute banger for the dark disco dance floor.

Bold and brave attempt, tries to be more than the primary source. Intimidation and projection of self-reliance are the main means of propulsion. Not as exquisite as the original, very mature in a sense of presenting what it is. This is one of those situations, where the so-called copy of an original work, is attempting to step over the bounds and propose, that it's a higher-caliber, more polished piece of art. Distancing is a unique quality of this remix, and it can be a perfect governor, but so as the roots. I believe, both of those things were well balanced and the result is as pleasing as it can be.

This EP is a story about how Lukas Midub became an electronic entity and it is a really positive and emotional one. Yes Lukas "Electronic" Midub is full of feelings - joy of being created, full of love. And you could feel it from all the tracks on the EP. 

This EP is quite an original symbiosys of live music feeling and "robotic" electro sound, spiced up with rich analogue waveforms and airy trancey pads.

Chiara Cerchice leads the YEY group and in 2019 they released their acclaimed ‘More Cowbell’ LP, then followed it up with 2020 single 'Russian Love'. Now Djale, aka Alessandro Sarsano, has reshaped three YEY tracks with an extended package that show off their various sounds.

The sunny and upbeat 'Stockholm' opens with a catchy groove and feel-good melodies. The bass is warm and the drums skip with a real sense of charm before the sensuous lyrics add a further layer of warmth. 'Broken By Tears' has a more melancholy feel with pensive chord work over raw drums, while sparkling notes bring light. The drums eventually break up as an angelic vocal appears before the groove uplifts once more. The retro-future drums and surging rhythms of 'Couldn’t Care Less' come awash with cosmic arps and nostalgic drum fills that will raise any dance floor off its feet.

Then come three versions, with 'Stockholm' (Dub Rock and Down Mix) getting stripped back to languid guitar riffs and plenty of mixing board effects over dub-disco drums. The brilliant 'Broken By Tears' (Venice Strings Dub Mix) is a lush affair perfect for open-air dancing in the sun and last of all 'Couldn’t Care Less' (Down Guitars Mix) comes with a lead acid line that mutates over the slapping drums.

This is a diverse and timeless package of real electro-pop and disco joy.
