Following on from the success of the recent Sex Tags UFO release, Hands of Doom 2 continues the tradition of early breakbeat and proto-rave inspired club tracks. Three slices of rattling drums, low-end subs and bleeped out bleeps make for a cohesive and well informed EP and a welcome addition to the series. Ara Koufax (Sam Gill and Luke Neher) have made music and videos together in Melbourne, Australia for over a decade.

Their latest EP follows a string of two-track releases through Cutters Records, CSCN and Fort Romeau's Cin Cin imprint.

'Sweet Pitch' forgoes utilitarian club tracks. Instead, facsimiles of techno, fake trance, uncanny-valley breaks, shuffles, and disembodied voices find their home in a spacious ambient soundscape. It's a compilation of music that never happened.

Over the course of this four track 12″, he infuses underwater soundscapes with outer space, chunky electro beats with dusty organs, dark warehouse vibes with soul wrenching satellite bleeps and 707 drums with cheesy synth solos.
