We’re hopping on the laser grid and heading to Santa Cruz courtesy of Norway’s very own Karl Fraunhofer for the 12th Sprechen release!

The title track is the thing of a synth lovers wet dream…arps, classic drum machines, soaring pads and some killer lead lines are all here on this neon painted soundscape that sounds like the pairing of a lost Canon Video release and a level from Outrun!

Tone keeps the synth spirit going with a slightly slowed down affair that still throbs like an Italian studio in the mid 80’s. Jazz sounding melody stabs with some gritty chord work make this one perfect for driving your white lamborghini down to the shops to buy another pair of espidrilles.

Remix action is from an absolute legend of the true Ibizan party scene by way of Leo Mas who gets the house vibes painted all over Santa Cruz whilst still retaining an air of balearic-ness. Manchester’s very own Neil Diablo gets to work on Tone and gives it his trademark balearic disco makeover with dashing if Italo influence that is certain to do some damage over the Summer festival dance floors!

Having taken a well-earned 5 year break from releasing music after his debut 'Mr. Croissant Taker' appeared on Soulwax's Grand Theft Auto V radio station, Belgian producer Transistorcake made a triumphant return in 2019 with the stunning 'Future Plans' EP on Eskimo Recordings. 

Featuring 4 tracks of hazy electronica that would have sat neatly alongside early releases on Aphex Twin's Rephlex label or recent excursions by the likes of Palmbomen and Betonkust, the EP’s opening track ‘Future Plan I’ now gets a fresh remix courtesy of, well as it happens, the aforementioned Dutch producer Betonkust. https://soundcloud.com/betonkust

Alongside Betonkust’s remix we also have a brand new ‘Alternate Take’ of the track from Transistorcake himself. With a more improvised feel to the lead synth melody and driving motorik drums it’s both an interesting insight into the development of the track and Transistorcake’s new full live show that he will be debuting this autumn.
