Pascal Viscardi - Unfield Field

Jakarta's based producer and Dj "Komodo" has been building thru years a great reputation in the underground electronic scene, signing astonishing works for well respected labels as "Cocktail d'Amore Music", "Ene Records" or "Not An Animal" and helping the Indonesian underground "disco-no-disco" scene to emerge thanks to his magnificent imprint "Akamady Records", pushing with talented djs and producers from Indonesia since 2013.

This is the first collaboration between MM Discos and Akamady Records, and for the occasion we have given them the helm of our ship in order the Indonesian guys take the control by bringing their sound to MM Discos. A trip that starts in Jakarta and ends up Berlin commanded by Komodo and his "protégé" Saturn.

"Thunder" and "Monster" are built from sickly percussions and obscure synths that evolve in highly addictive dark-mental rhythms getting both very influenced by wave and dark-disco.

Talented producer Saturn reworks "Thunder" guiding the track thru the same atmosphere that Komodo delivered first and doing his own thing by making something less hypnotic and more psychodelic than his mentor.

As we said before, "Thunder EP" is a trip that starts in Indonesia and lands in Berlin, a story of monsters, dragons, mirrorballs and dancefloors; take shelter, the storm is about to get where you at.

At Chromatic we are pleased to present the track "Monster". The track is as captivating as it is forceful, with the perfect amount of substance, it is presented with a powerful style that ranges from classic to cutting edge. Enjoy!

'Lengua Universale' is an attempt to transcribe the olfactory experience of
walking down the busy, dark and narrow streets of Taksim in the night
hours. A complex amalgam of dense, steamy aromas of soups and fresh
mussels, of the rain on a hot summer evening, of the first logs of wood
that have been thrown in the neighborhood's fireplaces. The construction
of the entire EP contrasts with Houschyar's usual workflow. Instead of a a
compressed expression extending over a small period of time, this
selection of songs has been recorded over the span of 2 years
(2018-2020). While all pieces have been imagined, composed and
recorded in the studio in Houschyars living room in Tarlabasi, Istanbul,
they reflect different moments and chapters, evoking situations from
heated discussions on the dancefloor to lovesick daydreams on rainy
Sunday afternoons.

The title track 'Universal Language' is a ride through the green rainforest
at night, with many different creatures appearing in the dark, an ode to the
artist's love for language and culture, and a reminder that means of
universal communication do exist. 'Umrumda Degil' is a love song
recorded in 2019. It is about the feeling of being afraid of losing something
precious, all the while running towards it.

From the cosmos of Stretford on the outer realms of Manchester comes the kaleidoscope view of the world according to Psychederek and it's an explosive trip of shoe gaze soaked balearica on this super limited vinyl release!

Lead track Screamadereka heads straight into orbit from the get go with a stop off to thank the likes of The Cocteau Twins & Death In Vegas for their influence along the way. Huge drums, spaced out synths, warped guitars & a fully charged love in style vocal all wrapped up in a mushroom flavoured microdot with a pretty empowering finale.

I'm Alright steps up the ante a bit more and goes all Tomorrow Never Knows on us but with added warehouse acid squelch & rasps throbbing out from a beat that is broken (but not break beat!) whilst still retaining the psychedelic tendencies of its predecessor.  

Sean Johnston steps off the ALFOS rocket ship and joins forces with Duncan Gray for their Hardway Bros Meet Monkton Disco Dub take of Screamadereka and the result is a hive of cosmic mutant disco brilliance whilst Manchester's finest 6 piece See Thru Hands turn I'm Alright into bombastic focused UKG style wig out duet complete with new vocal takes by DNCN for seriously wonky floors & like minded souls.

For the digital release there is also an extra helping from Hardway Bros & Monkton where they ramp up the wonk factor & go even more horizontal than the original!

Limited vinyl release comes with an incredible exclusive insert drawn by Manchester local artist Emma Evans and features a visual interpretation of the Space Arcade E.P.

Landing for the first time on our platform, Koritsi Komma Records is a dance music label based out of Portland, Oregon. Their aim: To raise the visibility of queer party music in the Pacific Northwest and abroad. Sappho (SXDNS044) & Damon Boucher release their second single, "All I Want Is You", from their forthcoming LP, “The Desire Suite”, featuring a magnificent remix by American singer and producer Natasha Kmeto.

"All I Want Is You" takes its inspiration from the daytime Sunday Tea Dances common to the queer community. In the Pacific Northwest, as the rain stops in late spring, the warm weather electrifies the city bringing everyone outside to celebrate the return of the sun. This piece captures the energy of that party – where the attendees meet, twirl, and celebrate in the community spaces. It's a flirty moment, to be sure.

Skilled artist Natasha Kmeto created a remix in which she infuses her personal flavour on the track – utilizing her signature sonority and own vocal samples, she invokes the cold nights spent clubbing at warehouses in the PNW. The icy club beats set the tone for her version while the vocal samples fade in and out, posing the theme's only lyrics as a question. Are you all I really want? As the tune progresses, the bouncing bassline and repeated vocals serve as an answer to that question.
