Ombra International continues the legacy of inviting artists each from a different country, to share their mutual love for the wave and acid tinged spectrum of dark club music.

Finnish- Berlin -based OBI BLANCHE makes his Ombra INTL Debut with a powerful kraut-punk acid tinged jam channeling his roots in the guitar and fringe electronic scenes as a staple member for years in the Anika band, as well as Thomas Azier.

From Palawan was partly produced in the heart of the Loatian mountains, with samples found during Mura Mura‘s last roadtrip in South East Asia. Back in Lyon, his moog and his guitar we do the rest.“

French Dark Italo-tech prince, BACK FROM THE WAVE conjures an emotional ride for the strobe filled dance floors and Tokyo‘s prolific QUE SAKAMOTO joins forces with his friend NT to bring us a sludged out electro banger. Lyon‘s MURA MURA makes his Ombra debut as well, takes us on a slow and funky hypnotic journey with a song composed in the Loatian Mountains with samples from his last trip in South East Asia. Last but not least, the mysterious Naples-based Dark Wave screamo band bring a 136 bpm post punk infused anthem for the end of days.

This is maybe one of the most diverse releases yet own the label, which makes me absolutely ecstatic to finally share it with you. - Curses

With an emphasis on efficiency and function, Los Mekanikos' striking club constructions combine raw hypno-rhythm tracks with pumping, relentless grooves that pay homage to Chicago, Detroit, Berlin, while establishing Mexico City's claim as one of the most emergent Techno/House movements right now.

The first outside artists to release on Sanfuentes' LA-based imprint, Los Mekanikos deliver an electrifying debut for Sanfuentes Records. 
This are certified secret weapons designed for the dancefloor, living up the label's motto of "110%" by stripping back melodic or atmospheric adornments in favor of directing the bodies deep into their rhythmic maze.

Comprised of Mexico City-based producers Max Jones and Eddie Mercury, the duo's partnership is one that thrives on embracing endless tracky grooves and patient arrangements, while winking at you - instilling a sense of playfulness and lightness throughout. This is no po-faced stripped down techno record, but rather mischievously grinning and funky.

The anthemic opener and title track "Tacha Tacha" sets the EP's tone. The directness and simplicity of Los Mekanikos is on full display here with the drum work and bass guiding most of the track. 
Sanfuentes' remix for "Tacha Tacha" pulls back the original's visceral drive into a steady bounce - padding it with electric synth lines and letting it simmer until the air gets rarefied. 
Raw rhythm jack tracks and hiccuping vocal samples throughout "Pussyca" equate to total house madness, squarely splitting the difference between Phuture and Rebolledo. 
The EP's relentless closer "Viene Viene" further explores the duo's penchant for relentless insanity, utilizing an ear-tickling melodic ring and a wobbling disco groove to maximum effect.

Malka Tuti and Die Orangen have concocted a double dish, a two part remix package, Saft 1 & Saft 2. A2 is Tapan’s remix of Metal Man. The poem-not-poem is taking shape as a low bpm banger when Tapan’s heavy signature kick meets those trippy vocals. This is Tapan’s first track to be made after finishing their debut Album last year on MT, and its an interesting evolution of their sound, slow dark and punchy, yet with these vocals and bassline, also a catchy post-pop track for the later hours.

Next up on Calypso, Aristidez takes us on journey dipped in Peruvian culture through the streets of his hometown of Lima.

Rumbling tribal percussions and ricocheting vocals, harmony and rhythm, light and darkness all come together with the chaos and spirituality of the country which permeate the tracks. “Nada Nada” is the kind of mantra that gets people through the morning in cities of grey and clouds, “Reyerta” is a nod to the rough conditions of Latin American cities going through hard times and the third original track “Evoca” is a blend of the two, the rupture point where peace and violence meet in a cathartic release of energy.

On the other side of the planet, russian jokesters Simple Symmetry amp the tempo up with their remix of “Nada Nada”, prodding at the unanswerable with their question: what happens after death?

Aristidez is the co-founder and curator of the much loved Casalocasa parties which have brought the likes of Matias Aguayo, Hunee, Ron Morelli, Kim Ann Foxman, Jacques Renault, Manfredas, Thomas Von Party, Hugo Capablanca, Fabrizio Mammarella and many more to Lima since 2012.

With Casalocasa, Aristidez has emerged as an important figure in the Lima scene. An increasingly busy touring schedule has seen him perform across Latin America, in the like of Videoclub in Bogota, Calle 9+1 in Medellin and Mono or M.N. Roy in Mexico City. His remixing skills have been called upon by Markus Gibb and his productions have landed on Mexican label Disque Discos, Peruvian imprint Discos Aquelarre and a Café del Mar compilation.

After a noteworthy kick-off release this year, French label @tmcitk is already set to break the new year in with the second instalment in their VA series, ‘Heroes II‘ – featuring Mark Wilkinson under his Kid Machine alias, Bicep affiliates Sandboards, founding duo Too Many Cars and  the ever dextrous and inspired @eliott-litrowski.

Odopt once defined their music as 'peak time bangers with a twist', and it's easy to grasp why. Their tracks have the kind of propulsive energy that can send any dancefloor into a frenzy, but the way they build them couldn't be further of the usual big room schematics. In their universe, the sounds are strange, the samples obscure and the structures unexpected. Risky music made to be felt, not thought. EBM if the E stood for experimental. A big part of this vision was cultivated at the Denis Simachev Bar in Moscow, a 'punk and kitschy' spot where Grisha and Ivan spent countless nights playing music, inviting friends to perform and testing all their new productions. The bar was, in their own words, 'the heart of a city'. The nucleus of their Moscow. Sadly, it closed its doors last April after 12 years. 'Sociopath EP' is a sort of sonic testament of the venue. Its three tracks seek to capture the spirit of a place that served as a huge inspiration for the Odopt's sound, and listening to them it's easy to understand what made it so special, even if one has never been there.

Still active today as DJ, producer and sound designer, he is also half of cosmic disco duo NOO on Optimo Music.
