'Discos Sentimiento‘s new EP ‚La Fragua‘ by Mexican DJ and producer Rodman reflects a refinement of their aesthetics in continuum with their previous releases – emotional electronic music from a paradisiac land.

The releases features 4 original tracks of percussive house with broken beats, lazer be- ams, intricate pads and energising rhythms; polyrhythmic patterns that reference dub and house at its finest with an intricate load of emotional synths and bubbly sounds- capes.

'La Fragua EP' emanates a woozy aura throughout its originals. On the remix bid we have 4 re-interpretations: a heavy yet emotional and ravey remix by Nico. A retro-celestial house remix by Sunday Sunday‘s resident dj, Soos. A perfectly chopped up broken beat cut by Wavawav‘s label head Ranma Entero, and a sentimentally futuristic take on 'Fuego Nuevo' by FKA Lil Tantrum.

The party was in full swing. From the moment the doors opened bodies had flooded in, all making a bee line for the dance floor. The energy never let up, the crowd only swelled, growing in size and spirit as dusk turned to night and into morning. Each and every person was here for the sweet sounds pulsing out of the speakers in the four corners of the room; here to be at one with the space and each other, to free their minds and leave their inhibitions at the door - they were here to dance. 

London imprint Make A Dance have a simple mission - can you guess what it is? Their releases are all about getting your body moving, and they're pretty darn good at it. Alongside original outings they've become known for their M.A.D. Edits series, a vinyl-only string of EPs that calls on the talents of friends and label family to flip their favourite cuts for the floor. For the third instalment they've got Rakim Under, Pascal Moscheni, Lex Wolf and Hard Drive Library on board, who each put their own classic house spin on four spicy cuts.

GREETINGS returns with release numero five ‘Look Within’. Stepping up to the mic for the first time, his original vocals up the sauce factor with dreamy hooks that will have you singing along into your wildest dance floor fantasy.

Setting the tone perfectly, the EP kicks off with A1 ‘Look Within’ - an evocative tribute to the magic of discovering the dance floor, with commanding lyrics centred around discovery and inhibition.

An EP of limbo-inducing squelch courtesy of our good friends Latrec aka Andy Bainbridge and Serious Hots, ft. techno flavoured remixes from Bristolian pal Remotif & our very own Matt Cowell & Johnny Aux as The W.C. Enjoy. 

In the furthest reaches of the cosmos, the intergalactic community gathers for the annual Kutika Limbo finals. 

Reigning champion Latrec draws the first straw and the percussion rolls excitedly as he steps up to the pole. Kutika glides lithely under the bar, tentacles wobbling to the acid rhythm. He celebrates his victory as the crowd chants in a glitchy alien dialect. “Kutika-tika-tika-tika!” 

Second in line, Latrec’s younger brother Dub Mix steps up for his first limbo. Shorter and stockier than his brother, we don’t know what to expect from this one. Once again the percussion rolls, the crowd gasps as his squidgy exoskeleton melts before their eyes, reforming on the other side of the bar - ‘blooooop’. The crowd goes wild “Kut-Kut!” 

Next up is The W.C. Events take a strange turn as they forgo the competition, instead they walk to the stage to sweep the band aside, hijacking control of the instruments. Heavy percussive hits twist spacetime with material melting bass throbs. The crowd goes wild as the fabric of reality collapses around them. 

Last but by no means least is Remotif, a techno unit resembling a giant cluster of biceps stands staring at the limbo pole, chaos erupting around him. The tempo of the percussion rises in anticipation and acid thunder roars in the background. Remotif picks up the bar, blinks, and hurls it off into the furthest reaches of the galaxy never to be seen again.

PREMIERE : Mystic V - Fade Into The Sun

Reuben Van Smith first came to our attention with the ‘Expositions EP’ released in 2019 on Forest Jams. This cult hit was followed by the ‘Night At Casa Ana’, on Andy Pye`s Balearic Social Records. Since he made his debut on Soundway Records three years ago, with a sun-soaked first album entitled ‘Warm Nights’, Reuben Vaun Smith has grown and evolved futher as an artist. His aims, objectives and musical output have changed too, something that’s evident from the opening bars of his third full-length Da Cuckoo YaYa, which also marks his first appearance on Californian institution Ubiquity Records. This is world influenced, Yorkshire-born boogie showcased over ten songs in his latest and most complete work to date.

He arrives on Burnin Music with a stunning quartet of deep grooves ready for balmy summer daze and nites.

The title track jams along with insistent Rhodes chords and dubby chords and drum fills that give a nod to his time spent living and recording reggae musicians in Jamaica, while 'Side Effect' heads into dreamier territory with its chuggy tempo, '70s film score strings, twinkling electric pianos and guitar glissandos. 'Start It Up' recalls golden age hip-hop with its taut drum break and melancholy key scales and chords, and 'Green Time' finishes off in beguiling style with a hypnotic and darkly-tinged tribal rhythm.

London based brothers Two Cold are set to release an anticipated new EP on Make A Dance Records. It’s an EP with punchy Electro roots and Rave influences which will definitely do the trick on the dancefloor with clever cuts and chops dotted throughout.
