About a year after the drop of his latest studio effort ‘Roses and Aliens’ on EMTY,  Swedish producer Emotional Ty follows up with a new four-tracker, ‘Purest Blue’ EP,  due out for release in the spring. Working in the gap between spaced-out abstraction  and no-nonsense floor dynamics, Edgar Ariza has shaped and polished a sound both ethereal and physical, cosmic and down-to-earth. Undoubtedly following that very path he’s forged for himself with previous releases, his newest iteration sweeps the spectrum  wide and far, from hypnagogic electronica to acid-infused techno, via Italo-laced house  rhythms; all sharing that trademark ability to get your hips shaking and mind teleported  to distant dreamlands in a flash.

A most immersive freedive into poetic dub territories, ’Nautical’ opens the ride with a  savvy mixture of bouncy sub-bass, elegiac pads and brittle chimes colliding and  cascading in an elegant ballet of sorts. A hectic, rawer continuation to the opening cut,

 ‘Unborn’ roars in all guns blazing, as it pulls out the chiselled drumwork, ankle-twisting  breaks and thunderous bass, all adorned with ample synth tapestries for good - epic - measure.

Unfolding the more synthy side of Ariza's compositions, ‘Home’ clearly aims  at broader sonic expanses, cutting a path into the unknown with lushly brushed keyboard movements and a high-impact bass pound.

Final statement ’Not The Same  (Without You)’ featuring Swedish talent EKALIFF takes us for a hypnotic stroll,  fusing accordion-like synth tides with muscular subs leading the way to a climactic  electro-pop finale.

Dischi Autunno bosses Jennifer Cardini and Noura Labbani have been hard at work on their label's next dispatch: a whopping 22 track compilation split across two parts. True to their name, psychedelia is the dish of the day, with the duo serving up four tracks that match mind expanding electronics and analog instrumentation.

Brooklyn-based producer M.Vaughan has spent the better part of a decade crafting emotional electronic music.

His productions on labels like Freerange, Monologues, and his own Super Tuff merge warped synthesizers, simple melodies, and raw percussion into a fresh take on dance music, catching the attention of tastemakers like Laurent Garnier, Jimpster and Axel Boman.

His debut album, True Life, which lands on Super Tuff on February 5th , explores every genre from ambient to house and breaks with impressive cohesion. Taking its name from a phrase Vaughan and his older brother coined in their grade school years, meaning “I swear,” True Life is a ten-track diary told through synthesizers, samples, and drum machines.

The album naturally separates itself into two parts—a warm, organic opening and a cold, electronic close. “Softly” perfectly encapsulates the coziness of the album’s first half. Composed of delicate piano, dusty drum breaks, and layers of live guitar, the tune builds from a simple beat into a triumphantly melancholic anthem, reminiscent of Amygdala-era DJ Koze.

On the opposite end, “Timshel” is the hard-nosed standout of the back half. Inspired by a night at Berlin’s Griessmühle, the track’s foundation rests on an electro drum pattern, providing a mechanical backdrop as a synth stab rises ominously into the foreground.

With no 4/4 kick in sight, an overdriven breakbeat arrives two minutes in, launching the tune into the stratosphere leaving the listener in a dizzying headspin with an aftertaste similar to Shed or Photek.

Morbidyne’s crew is ecstatic to introduce you to its newest work: a three track EP by Ricky Leo called ‘Moonrise’. The third release on our catalogue (MBDYN003) is indeed a stunning production by the Milanese (Ibiza based) DJ and producer making his debut on our label after having released music on other imprints such as Get Physical, Whoyostro and Play Groove Recordings. The EP is composed as follows: one original track by Ricky Leo, ‘Moonrise’, also giving the title to the record and two remixes of the same tune, featuring our guy Vesy and the L.A based duo Mia Wallace which becomes an integral part of Morbidyne’s roster. The opening track starts with a truly rhythmically solid Tech-House beat and organically evolves as a bouncy bassline comes in helped by ethereal chords expanding the level of listening to a deeper stage. The melody is given by slightly delayed arpeggios and the bass itself and, in doing so, Moonrise keeps two very distinct yet communicating musical characters throughout the whole track: the airy and the grounded one. A perfect Yin-Yang. The first remix by Vesy is a Deep-er and slightly more tribal version of the original mix with its classy percussions and a rather acidy bassline raging for the whole composition. The addition of far-out notes and atmospheric vocal samples enrich the arrangement creating an ethereal adaptation of the model track. Nevertheless this is a compact tune which can easily be played either to a packed dancefloor or at a beach party. To finish the EP in style Mia Wallace chooses a broken beat for their interpretation of Leo’s version. Heavy Deep chord stabs, a perpetuated acid bassline, a punctiliously research of percussive sounds and the ending sinister melody generate an astounding combination of musical layers and emotions, which is exactly what it takes to make a track intriguing.
