"My music is Italo-ghetto. The noise of cutlery and news coming out of the buildings at dinner time, the scents of foreign spices that join the bubbling of traditional sauteed vegetables."

Italo-ghetto combines the sounds of everyday life in Italian communities with traditional and pop music with an aim to challenge the global electro-techno scene and promote urban regeneration.

They also support various human rights orgnisations and founded an independent Italian cultural centre called Tempio del Futuro Perduto. Additionally, the artist curates street photography, performing arts, and sex-positive projects. All proceeds from the sale of the music will be allocated towards urban regeneration experiences.

Story Begins: 
In a small hamlet, nestled among hills so green, Lived two young lovers, Mario and serene Lucia, it seemed. They danced and swayed to the beats so bold, At the famed club, Industrial Romantico, we're told.

Smoke Some Italo Ghetto, the music that they adored, It cast a spell on them, forevermore. Mario and Lucia, two hearts entwined, Danced the night away, lost in their own mind.

The club may have vanished, but their love stayed strong, For years they danced to the same old song. As they grew old, they watched the sunset, On the porch of their home, without regret.

The music of Industrial Romantico may have gone, But their love for each other will forever go on. For Mario and Lucia, two hearts now one, Danced to the beat of love, till the setting sun.

On 26 February, hundreds of Israeli settlers went on a violent late-night rampage in Huwara and other villages in the northern West Bank, leaving one local resident dead and 100 others injured and the town ablaze.

This compilation of music was put together in order to raise funds that can hopefully give some aid to the residents of Huwara, all of the proceeds Confused Machines make from digital sales will go directly to Physicians For Human Rights – Israel (PHRI) www.phr.org.il An NGO that works in the occupied Palestinian territory, promoting Palestinians' right to health and providing direct medical and humanitarian assistance.

The compilation hosts a roster of both local and international artists spanning a wide spectrum of leftfield electronic music. Acid, Drone, Noise, Downtempo, Techno, SoundCollage and more.
All of these tracks are new and have not been heard before, many of them have been created with Huwara and Palestine in mind.

Though we know our reach is limited, we see this as a part of a bigger political effort to help raise awareness in our artistic circles and set motion to positive forces in dark times.

Almost three years after the release of their first album, «Cycle I», the Standard duo comes back with a four tracks EP, soberly entitled «Comma», thought as a punctuation to introduce the second cycle of releases of the Standard Records label. Although the whole EP is marked by a Break and Acid character, and provided with a resolutely UK identity, the omnipresence of vocal samples coming from hits of the 90’s and 2000’s, gives it a pop dimension adapted to dancefloors.

Hannah Holland has been a crucial figure on the London queer scene since the mid-00s. Raised on a diet of Kraftwerk, Grace Jones and Talking Heads, among others, by her parents; and inspired by the legendary Metalheadz drum ‘n’ bass parties of the mid 90s" (where she was sneaking in very underage), Hannah’s approach to music has always been one of collaboration, grounded by a passion for the power of community. This is evident in the melting pot of her ever-varied sets, the curation of her label Batty Bass, her soundtrack work, and in remixes for the likes of Goldfrapp, The Knife and Metronomy.

Having recently ventured into soundtrack work alongside an ever-present love for the dancefloor, her latest EP explores a meeting point between the two. Beats Aesthetic EP is out August 11th via PRAH Recordings, with the title single out today.

It’s been a hot moment, so we can’t wait to finally announce the next EP on our Awkwardly label, “a hack is a foul“ by @dadan11.

Safe to say he’s been on our radar for a while, so we’re mighty excited to welcome the Wrocław-based producer on AWK005. After a strong debut release on his co-owned SPLOT imprint, an equally solid LP on Regime Brigade as well as contributions to various compilations, dadan is back with his signature moody, bass-bin shaking sound.

Hitting the sweet spot somewhere between dubstep, grime, breaks and ambient techno, these 4 tracks provide a somber yet seductive quality that invite the listener to get lost in a hazy amalgamation of stylistic elements. Rest assured, this combination of low end and rhythm heavy explorations contains the right formula to cause some damage on the dance floor.
