We follow up last week's Oliver Night premiere with this groovy cut from Tommy Rawson - track titled "Soldier Dub", taken from Tommy's new "Sacrifice" EP which will be out on Boogie Cafe Records real soon!

Following on from his amazing 'Illusions' EP on Bergerac, Tommy Rawson delivers another wonderful EP of Broken Beat and Soulful House.  Many of the tracks give a solid nod to the early 2000's Broken beat movement, but with a contemporary twist.

Local Sugar Diggers features re-edits & reworks of old and rare records from Scru's friends collections.
The series starts with two perfect tunes "Mostly Sunny" a mash-up of some German & Japanese 80's funk, and "Opyat' 25" an obscure Japanese jam spiced with some classic Roland 303 acid sounds.

Tommy Garofalo, aka ‘Turbojazz,’ is also co-founder of the group Jaxx Madicine, and has been around the scene for twenty years. He’s had numerous tasteful productions on labels like GAMM, Local Talk, BBE and Defected, and has become a real figure of reference in the Italian underground scene! His highly energetic sets are expressed through the house, funk, disco, and warm techno genres that he loves. Turbojazz has DJ’d globally sharing the decks with Moodymann, Gilles Peterson, Mr Scruff, Jimpster, Kode9 and Benji B.

As the pilot single for his stunning album that drops at the end of the year, Turbojazz brings us ‘The Standard.’ When I first heard this track a few months back it stopped me in my tracks. Goose bumps all over, thoughts of Robert Glasper and 4Hero filled my head. ‘The Standard’ is the suite in which Turbojazz kicks off his debut album ‘Whateverism.’ This cut is six minutes of a few well combined elements that compose a sparkling journey into the roots of nu jazz, with Tommy’s unmistakable twist between broken beats and house. PREMIERE: Kraak & Smaak - All For Love (Feat. Durand Jones)

Swaying analogue synthesizer arpeggios, playful beat-work and what feels like echoes from an alternate dimension. Following his 2017 album on Omena, Saine's new LP 'Ceramics' is a caringly laid out array of sound - the album has a vivid sense of life and movement to it. Saint Wax reaches release number five and does so by signing up two emerging Italian talents in Sourires. They show a real understanding of deep house dynamics here across four warming cuts. 'Kick Back To The World' has soulful chords rolling under an equally heart-melting vocal and 'Les Jeux Sont Faits' then gets more playful with some great guitar riffs and diva vocals. 'Next Day' is a jumbled funk house workout with terrific samples and 'Our Love' then pumps the party with some big horns and nice dusty grooves that come with plenty of Latin and Afro overtones.
