One-woman-project Velvet Velour presents a perfect autumnal offering for all connoisseurs of light yet sharp synth music. On the new single “Blood Moon” Valeria keeps on pushing the boundaries of moody ready-for-dancefloor electropop, though studiously avoiding cheesy synth cliches.

Being a result of Valeria’s experiments in sound production, gem “Blood Moon” is a futuristic and extremely groovy Moon invocation musically taking inspiration from disco , electro and noir synthpop carefully mixed with artist’s ethereal vocals.Obviously neon lights and sub-zero rhythms of drum machine may sometimes substitute ritual drums and candle-laden altar. Only one question remains unanswered – what do androids really dream of?
