We’re super excited that the Danish talent https://soundcloud.com/paxton-fettel decided to share a free download through our soundcloud. And a proper freakin’ tune it is! Bit different from his ordinary productions. This is more of a straight forward house track with grooving hats, great sampling and a very dj-friendly arrangement. Basically a really dope track!
Paxton Fettel is a rising star with his futuristic deephouse sound and is great on the key's. He joined the Elastic Artists agency and released on labels like Apersonal (inc Jimpster remix), Greta Cottage Workshop and Deso.

Devil The Difference

Fine Records is the collaborative product of Johannnes Albert (for Frank Music fame) and klamauk's Tilman. While the first release saw the producers joining forces, the second drop was a solo release from Tilman. For the third EP, Dancefloors & You & You, it is the Berlin-based Johannes' turn at the helm, and it is our pleasure to present to you the first cut off the record.

Johannes is no stranger to employing looped discofunk samples in his productions, and "All Around" certainly fits this mold.  The track builds on a heavy disco style kick / clap and layered percussion and a funky bassline. As the lead, an irresistible postdisco era sample repeats and rises to a filtered climax. The female lead vocals of the original are slightly teased in here a la Tiger & Woods before dropping back into the main groove. It's a sweet, feel good disco house track that's certain to motivate dancefloors.

The Future Disco brand has been renowned for their iconic compilations since 2009. With an A&R reputation for compiling and releasing credible collections and the digital landscape giving labels more freedom than ever before, it seems like the perfect time to unleash singles on the label, keeping to the 21st Century Disco sound they have carefully crafted since day one. 

The third release on the label comes from Vhyce, a Belgian based producer who’s funk laden, italo disco referenced production has been making waves in the underground scene. After his debut release on Future Disco in the summer of 2017, he’s teamed up once again with Future Disco to deliver ‘The City EP’. Three original tracks, all with classic/throwback retro disco references and impeccable production. Vhyce is slowly becoming one of nu-disco’s leading name, and ‘The City EP’ further cements his claim.

It goes without saying we’re big fans of Berlin-based label Toy Tonics and it’s probably of little surprise that we’re quite keen on their star duo COEO (soundcloud) as well. With a resume of an act double their age, Florian Vietz and Andreas Höpfl have been responsible for more than their fair share of underground hits. Native Riddim, Back In The Day, and Mydonna (the alternate cut of course) have them coming in with strong contenders for any top ten list for 2015, 2016, and 2017. While their latest effort, Flesh World may not make as immediate a statement as some of their previous work, you’ll surely be finding all three tracks from the EP in DJ sets around the globe. We have the pleasure of introducing the first track on the EP, a slow burning disco cut that sneaks out of Toy Tonics’ vaults just before the Summer season comes to an end.

Clocking in at a chunky 117 beats per minute, the oddly named Flesh World sucks you in with a hypnotic progression and a cheekily added layer of white noise that combine to create an immediate feel good mood. As the song continues, drums build as we’re treated with more and more of the original sample until all the elements come together for the song’s climax just past the 2 minute mark. Things will ebb and flow once more before the song is finished, perhaps leaving us wondering how we just listened to essentially the same loop for over 6 minutes. That just goes to show you the brilliant reputation that COEO have earned themselves as masters of sample selection and arrangement is definitely warranted. It’s no wonder they’ve found a home on Toy Tonics and are regularly touted as some of the labels brightest stars.
