Ands Mega (AKA Andrés Gómez) is a young music producer from Puebla City, Mexico, who specializes in chuggy techno and creative electronic music ‘without limitation’. After releases on Logical Records, as well as cuts for Nein, Play Pal, and others as part of the duo FLXXX, Ands Mega makes a bold statement on Roam Recordings with “ Hypermanic ”. The track is awash in dark synths and throbbing bass, building steadily over seven minutes with its delightfully
foreboding groove. The cut is dynamic and special, evoking John Carpenter film themes and the European underground in sound and melodic flavor. Two remixes accompany “Hypermanic”, led by a version from Madrid-based producer Telesketch (Logical, Nein) who adds a more insistent rhythm and a gloriously huge mid-song breakdown. El Fulminador (Fulmen Records), hailing from Berlin-via-Argentina, follows with a version of “Hypermanic” that gets into a
spacier and sexier zone. The original’s ‘chug’ is there, enveloped in obscure pads, gentle keys, and mysterious vocal snatches. It’s another captivating release from Roam Recordings, signaling an ambitious 2017 release schedule.

We’re always digging the sounds coming from Mexico of late. So when we were offered an exclusive sneak peek at another choice cut from Andrés Gómez aka Ands Mega, we thought we would of course take up the offer. His new Hypermanic EP is an absolute peach, and we’ve managed to land the wondrous Telesketh remix. Prepare to be blown away.

"Benedikt Frey and Naia d’Alò's Init project received great initial praise through two well conceived pieces for John Talabot's Hivern disco back in 2015. Now the pair are back on Les Disques De La Mort with a four track EP rich with their moody techno delights.

"Stereometric" sees a swollen electric base gently plume as ghostly vox and slowly eroding artefacts are scattered through the mix; landing somewhere between Bay Area minimal wave and the taut techno meanderings of Marcel Dettman. 

"Nuts" is an anthemic slice of darkwave electro; tense, a little bit menacing and cinematic as hell - conjuring images of late night mutant car chases through guttural cityscapes. 

"Wheels" sees us dive down smacked-out electro-post-punk rabbit hole; landing in a drug stained bedsit around Hulme Crescents circa '89 with next doors party still in full swing two days since it began. 

"Mindwork" invites said neighboring crusties to an all-night post-Goa-trance rave up on some moonlit beach and populated by shady drug dealers and Mad Max type characters all locked into its full-throttle stomp. "

With its swerving bass slithering over a slow tempo, Leopard Gum is the perfect slow burner, a slice of comatose disco that will find its way to the darkest corners of nightlife – and haunt its DJ sets. The synths that come crashing across the track’s Smagghe & Cross remix add their saturated signature that provide a different kind of hook through its breathless nineminute run.

Dutch XXX imprint is back with its 7th release assembled from four track, 2 from North-American producer Spencer Miles, and 2 from Lithuanian young rising star Zakmina.
Spencer Miles is muisician based in Portland, Oregon. Been already seen with his debut release on Bordello A Parigi in 2018, he is back now to the XXX with his new work.
Heady kicks, claps and pads, vocals that seem to have lost faith and hope in the reality of the passing, Inverted Reallity doesn't even go halfway to describing this one. PREMIERE #658 | Spencer Miles - Inverted Reality [XXX] 2019

Four tracks of robust drums, sharp melodies and acid doused bass is what Muzikalist brings to Chem Club’s seventh release to date. The title track, Bizarre Feeling, swirls with layered squelch while ample
grit and build progress throughout. The A2, Polizei, is a paranoid acid number that opens up into multiple melodies and a muddled eurodance vocal that’ll leave you looking over your shoulder. The opening B side, Short Track for Sad Lovers, takes a more reflective approach combining a blinking lead with rich pads without resigning itself from being danceable. The final track, Marine, uses these persistent elements and ramps them up to close out the release with tense form. Muzikalist hailing from Kaliningrad is a genuine devotee of the dance faith and has immersed himself in all things electronic music since 2009. As a DJ he has been performing for the past 15 years and began organizing events in 2008. In 2018, he launched the label Hypnotic Connection focusing on underground dance music without a specific commitment to one style as indicated by his latest releases. In recent years, Muzikalist has released on labels like Flight Recorder, Dark Leader, Tripalium, Snuff Cuts that pushes a sound that crosses the peppy acid, energetic electro, synth and slow tempo spectrums.
