In this opening number the four characters are introduced.

Fetching Water

This new twist on Mother Goose features Jack and Jill, a perfect little couple who have the perfect life while they fetch water everyday on their perfect hill. But when strangers come to town and teach them of worlds beyond the comfort of their hill, their relationship is tested and life will never be the same again.

Fetching Water was developed in the Musical Writers Playground, and received multiple readings at various venues in NYC including The York Theatre, and a workshop production at the Human Race Theatre in Dayton, OH. This show is currently being re-written. The demo does not reflect those changes and is included for "sample of work" only.

Eggs and Toast

With everything crumbling, Jill going mad, Jane falling into Jack's spell and a race to save themselves it is clear that it's more than Jack who's tumbling down.

Tumble Down

As Jack leaves to go find something better, Jill questions whether their life was good—or just good enough.

Good Enough

When Dick and Jane spin a tale of a better hill, Jack is intrigued.
