"Experiments in Sound" marks a deliberate shift in the direction of the Less Than Perfect project.
From the beginning of my journey, I always wanted to make energetic, dance-driven music built around bold, expressive bass. Over the past few years, that foundation has evolved through a period of experimentation, collaboration, and refinement. This album represents the next chapter—a collection that leans into warmth, space, and groove while still holding true to some of the raw energy that started it all. Writing "Play Me" was a straight-up challenge, for real. During the creation of this track, live on stream, a community member called me "Daddy Downbeat", and challenged me to write my bassline off the beat. This track challenged my knowledge of groove, and carried me beyond my own expectations.
