"Welcome to Frostify Incorporated, I'll be your guide for today! We're very happy so many of you want to invest in our idea. You will now get an exclusive look into what it is that gives our products their distinct long-lasting coldness. Alright, just come with me into the changing room, I'm afraid your suits won't cut it inside!"

"Got your cold suits on? Great! I know it's uncomfortable, but trust me, you will need them. Follow me." The group steps through a big door into a bright room. Once their eyes have acclimated, they see a massive cave-like complex, complete with meter-long stalactites hanging from above. Literally everything around them is frozen solid, from plants to even animals. "Impressive, isn't it? Unlike our competitors, we only use naturally occurring sources of frost. Look, there!", he points to the ceiling, "Say hello to FROSTBOLT!"

"You might think, 'that giant three-headed icy wyrm looks dangerous', and you'd think right! His presence alone generates enough coldness to keep this cave at less than -100°C. However, thanks to our patented MUZZLE technology you don't have to fear him at all. Even though he has been breathing his deadly ice at us this whole time, it only feels like a light breeze for us, thanks to the muzzle. You'd only ever be in danger if you used something like, let's say, a lighter. He really doesn't like heat."

As the group follows the guide around, one particularly jet-lagged investor is so sleepy he decides he needs caffeine. He reaches into his bag to pull out an insulated, now frozen, container of coffee. Good thing this container also has a self-heating function! A few moments after he pressed the button, a loud screech erupts from above. "Huh?", asks the guide. "You got to be kidding me, you absolute CHUMP! Did you not hear what I just told you?! Everyone, run! The muzzle won't help us much longer now!"

As the temperature rapidly drops, the group clumsily tries to escape across the now even icier road. "Leave that container behind, once it's gone, we should be safe!", screams the guide to the panicky investor, who immediately throws it as far as he can. A few seconds later, Frostbolt's beam of ice bursts through the barrier.
Before the shockwave can reach them the last few jump through the door to safety. "Well", the guide breathlessly admits, "That's why the muzzle is still in ALPHA stage. That concludes our tour for today."

The warrior’s body was torn and broken, held together by thin threads of sinew and muscle that strained against any force put upon them, making each movement an exercise in agony. His very form seemed to mock humanity in its contorted state and presented an anatomical parabole by way of its very living existence. Yet for all of this suffering, he continued on unbowed, determined to become what he had been once again. He had attained the pinnacle of human strength and power, unstoppable in combat for his devastating ability. Such ability had brought enemies who had sought to strike him down unseen, to remove his greatest advantage in traditional combat. Their treacherous assault had nearly destroyed the warrior, but through the strength of his will he had remained, driven onwards by a new purpose: revenge.

For this motive he had crafted an array of devices that fed into him as veins to a heart, healing his body day by day, inch by inch, and molecule by molecule. Serums of his own concoction expedited this process, regenerating his tissues at a rate far beyond the human baseline. He had sealed himself into darkness, illuminated only by the iridescent glow of the technologies which enveloped him as a cocoon. Indeed, all about him was built for the sole purpose of his revenancy but for one inclusion. Directly opposite him stood a mirror, oddly organic in its contrast to the web of cables which surrounded it. His eyes locked forwards, the warrior stared ever into the mirror, unphased by the horrific REFLECTION that stared back. For the warrior, such a visage only bolstered his resolve. The REFLECTION’s of those who had wronged him would look far worse in time.

GANCHER & RUIN make a powerful return to EATBRAIN with the release of their REFLECTION EP, featuring two solo tracks and a collaboration with label boss JADE to form a well-honed three track package. REFLECTION merges the sounds of GANCHER & RUIN with those of JADE to maximum effect, as roaring basslines collide move to funk influenced rhythms in a well-orchestrated sonic synthesis. VELOCITY’s rising arpeggio leads straight into a full frontal drum-fueled assault, driven by the punctual punches of its pulverizing kicks and snares. UNLIMITED closes the EP, marked by the ravey saw stabs that dominate its top line alongside a series of vocal shots that add to the track’s colorful atmosphere. With the REFLECTION EP, GANCHER & RUIN once more display their unstoppable sound across three tracks with great effect.

“You ever done seen a varmint like this one before?”

Spurs firmly entrenched in the dirt and hands hovering over the holsters of their six shooters, a pair of lone cattlemen stared with befuddlement at the being that stood before them. Rising from the cracked desert soil was an amalgamation that seemed to be composed of every plant able to hold on in that heat blasted wasteland, as though the earth itself had taken offense at the idea of a cattle drive through the largest desert on the continent. Its bones were of the great saguaro, riddled with millions of piercing needles, and across its flesh ran a layer of bindweed that flowered with the sickly off-white petals so known for strangling the crops in this western reach of the country. Perhaps most uncanny was what seemed to be the monster’s “face” which mimicked humanity with a pair of massive seedlike eyes and teeth of razor sharp yucca as it gazed menacingly at the insignificant forms that lay below.

In the face of this monstrosity stood Scruggs & Sonny Jim, sharing in the courage of a bond built on years of shared experience driving cattle across the great expanses of the continent. With wordless and fluid synchronization, the pair drew their revolvers and fired a pair of shots directly into the eyes of the great beast as they sprinted for their saddles. Though they knew the shots would not kill, for indeed they doubted if such a behemoth could even be slain, theirs was an action that might yet secure their escape. Driving their spurs into the flanks of their mounts, the two took off at breakneck pace away from the massive form that now emitted an otherworldly howl behind them. The ground shook with the weight of the monster’s lumbering movements, but the duo’s fine horses held true to their course, and behind them the nightmarish horror disappeared in a cloud of dust. Yet even as they rode on into the sunset, the pair was not alone. High above, they were trailed by a hawk that watched them keenly with the exacting precision of its predatory eyes. Though Scruggs & Sonny Jim had escaped for a time, the land was alive, and it was always watching.

A dynamic duo composed of The Clamps & Opsen, BURR OAK now drive the EATBRAIN horde onwards to new sonic horizons as they deliver their fully loaded HAWKEYE EP to the horde’s myriad ears.

A string of digital digits ran across the face of the clock above me as my foot hovered above the gas pedal, spiraling downwards towards the zero that was my beginning. I’d done this before, but that very fact made me even more nervous as my vehicle sat alone on the racetrack. I looked back up, and saw the clock tick forwards one second. Cursing myself for losing that precious second, I rocketed forwards along the track, slamming myself into my seat with the near instantaneous acceleration. Then to my right I saw it. The hologram projection of my previous run taking the corner a half car length ahead of me, ruthlessly efficient in its angle of attack as I knew myself to be. Cursing a different past self this time, I diverged, angling for the next curve that I knew to be approaching.

Though I had lost ground to myself on the first turn, we were once again tied as we came out of the second corner. My mind spun at the speed of my wheels as I shot down the course’s straightaway, moving towards the final section of tightly wound turns that would lead myself and I to what would surely be a photo finish. I’d taken the turns perfectly the first time, could I really do so again? The stakes were too high for me not to beat myself, as I’d wagered my entry into the race series on doing so. Then I remembered what I’d thought as I looked upon those banked turns for the first time, how I had slowed ever so slightly to hit them perfectly as I considered their possible other use. Therein was my shot, the boxcar roll that could still yet win me my wager. Thus it was that I drove my pedal to the floor as I approached the first bank, flinging myself and my vehicle into the air as I launched from what I had also seen as a ramp. There in the air there was no looking back, for I’d wagered it all to win the TIME ATTACK.

EATBRAIN mainstay L 33 surges forth from the starting line with his latest EP, TIME ATTACK. Following in the wake of recent releases on the label as a part of his duo with MC Coppa, Lights Out, L 33 returns for a solo EP driven by his markedly high octane sound and the bassweight roars which its speed produces as he races to the fore for the EATBRAIN horde.
