Like a Vampire

LET THERE BE DARKNESS is the solo project and creation of African-American writer / producer and vocalist Charles Richburg. 

While being involved with the goth and industrial L.A. scene for 20 years, Richburg has become a leading proponent and pioneer of SDM (Satanic Dance Music) which allows him to draw inspiration for exploration and expression by various means of darkness. Darkness, which is a common theme and trait in all of his music, wherein darkness becomes more than just a symbol of negativity and despair.

LET THERE BE DARKNESS music has a varied range of different genres and styles, from techno-EBM fusion to deep electro synth-pop, to harder industrial compositions. One will also notice a great deal of religious symbolism in the artist’s work. For example, the concept of hell and eternal suffering permeates his music, giving the listener a unique stimulus to explore and question conventional ideas. 

Having released several singles and E.P.’s since 2021, LET THERE BE DARKNESS is now in the process of making an entirely new, exciting and yet different kind of E.P. to be released through Crunch Pod later this year.
