Élégie was composed during the last moments of my grandmother's life. It was the first time I lost someone close to me and I wanted to be able to offer something special to my family. I was very fortunate to be able to spend a large part of my life without experiencing death or grief. I approached the concept in a very calm way and surprisingly I was able to find comfort and serenity in it. The piece expresses those unique emotions that run through us when we grieve: sadness yes, but also hope and gratitude for life. It was performed at my grandmother’s funeral in January 2020 at the church in my hometown. It was a precious moment for everyone present. This piece was originally supposed to be on my latest album, but I wanted to share it as an other tribute to grandma - on her birthday.

It's finally here - five years after his debut LP Ichiru, we're beyond thrilled to release Daigo Hanada's follow up Satori. One note at a time, he has crafted his most vulnerable and heart wrenching work to date. This collection of 13 pieces capture memories and experiences from health complications over the last couple years where light shone through the darkness and optimism took the day. As the world continues to struggle with the pandemic and conflicts (including the shocking current situation in Ukraine), Hanada has dedicated this music to ‘people who are going through pain and suffering’. Himmelsrandt - Meerland VII

Simon Leoza (also known as Tambour) is a Montreal-based composer whose pieces are sometimes contemplative and sensitive, sometimes lively, and poignant, straddling the line between neoclassical, ambient and electronic minimalism. 
With over 8 million online streams (Spotify, Apple Music, Soundcloud), his works have attracted the attention of national and international critics, who have described them as melancholic and grandiose, mixing soft acoustics and dreamlike, nostalgic landscapes.  
Known for his breathtaking music videos and short films, Simon Leoza has won two SOCAN Foundation Awards for Emerging Screen Composers in the Best Original Soundtrack - Fiction and Best Original Theme categories. The artist has also composed music for several short films, plays and other artistic projects, and he distinguished himself at the 2021 Gala de l’ADISQ with a stunning performance, in addition to winning an award for his virtual concert at La Maison Symphonique de Montréal. 
Following the success of his first full-length album, Albatross, and having just finished a tour of over fifty concerts throughout the province of Quebec, Simon Leoza is already working on a new album, to be released in 2024.
