Everything is biblically related to what was happening on the earth during the times of (20:56) the Bible. When Jesus came on the earth, all of his parables had to do with things that people (21:02) could understand for that time, but they're still (21:09) through today, and sometimes we have to look up the deeper understanding of the thing to (21:14) understand what he was saying. A great example is the yoke.

You know, a lot of people don't know (21:21) what a yoke is. They think egg yoke if they're thinking, but they've never heard of the yoke (21:27) for the oxen, where the ox were put in there, and the power of the ox, the more ox there were, (21:34) the oxen, the more power they could generate to pull heavy equipment, like a plow, right, (21:41) that a person would stand on it to make sure that it was pushing weight into the ground, (21:47) but also it was used, the oxen would pull through the ground, okay? Think about how much power that (21:54) required, and they figured out, hey, if we wrap something around their necks, it won't break their (22:01) bodies, and they can pull, their entire weight can go into that, they can pull into that, (22:08) and they're strong animals, right? So it's just moving forward versus putting it on (22:13) the rear of their bodies where it doesn't fit right, or it moves, or whatever, but their necks (22:18) are pretty constant, and so the enemy will put a yoke on people in sin, and the Lord allows it. (22:28) The Lord allows it because He wants people to see when they're stepping off the path, (22:33) and we can see if our hearts are in the right place.

When we are truly serving God, we are going to be persecuted by those (35:14) closest to us. And I mean, persecuted, like saying things about us, challenging our beliefs. (35:23) That's why we have the shield to absorb the fiery darts of the enemy.

That's our faith. Our shield (35:31) is our faith. And it gets stronger and stronger and stronger.
The shield gets larger and larger (35:37) and larger as we grow in our faith. And how do we defeat the enemy's fiery darts? By our testimony. (35:48) That's how we defeat the enemy.
Our testimony defeats the enemy. That's what it says. (35:54) That's part of it, right? Our testimony is sharing what God is doing in our lives with those.

(36:01) Listen, when you're talking to somebody who needs faith, who needs help, who feels like they're (36:07) alone, share your testimony. Here's what God has done in my life. If he can do this for me, (36:17) imagine what he'll do for you.

Your testimony defeats the enemy's attack. We were given the (36:28) power to speak in the image and likeness of God. He created a thing with knowledge, wisdom, (36:34) and understanding.

We have that same gift. We've been given this authority to create what's around (36:44) us through knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. But what we have to do is tell our soul to rest.
(36:50) We don't want to be trying to create our things around us while we're in bitterness, because we (36:55) will. We will speak a thing, and the next thing you know, things start happening. And all of a (37:03) sudden, these people don't like you, and you can't get through.
Well, you said something right to (37:06) their face that really upset them. But we have the power of forgiveness, and we can pray for that too. (37:19) As we fast, we crush our fleshly desire to act in the soul.

We crush that desire to be rebellious. (37:29) We crush that desire to have a quick retort when somebody's saying something that's hurting our (37:34) feelings. We start to look at people as if they were us, as if we have the eyes of God, and we (37:42) see this person that just needs help, that just needs prayer, that's angry about a thing.
