This is my first remix I've ever done - and I found it to be an interesting
and surprising process. Rather than remixing like a traditional producer,
I took some of melodic elements and re-harmonized them in a new
context. It felt a bit more like jamming with musicians than remixing a
tune. Taking Tristan's lovely textures, string parts and Fabiano's melody

The Jazzual Suspects is a labor of love of musician/producer Charlie Tate, a man responsible for well-known Om-Records stalwarts King Kooba and Colossus. With the debut long player from TJS, the love of the old school golden era of funky breaks, jazz and soul influenced hip-hop is obvious.
