A busy DJ schedule sees them ply this ethos across the live circuit while this year has naturally seen them launch their own label; the second release just out with delectable, Detroit inspired cuts from n.stal. Also worth seeking out is their edit based Good Plus imprint which has found its way into the bags of Hunee and Young Marco

Thee Psychedelic Frogfish Appreciation Society is proud to present for the first time in Berlin since many, many years, the legendary Loud-E of the CBS/ Intergalactic FM fame.
For some, simply the best Disco DJ out there, Rard is one of those elusive old school Dutch DJs who allegedly changed the game years ago. But unlike some of his pals like I-F or Intergalactic Gary, Rard is somehow a key figure which still hasn't been celebrated by the more "mainstream/ specialized" scene.
This is a very rare appearance and needless to say, it might take a few other years until you get the chance to see him at the decks again.
Loud-E will be supported by his long time friend, another longstanding DJ who has been part of the Berlin underground since the early 90s, Hauptstadt 's best kept secret Benji DF and Capablanca himself.

The mountain was ferocious. Up high amongst the rocky peaks a raging storm was wildly battering the cliff face upon which they had been climbing for a long, long time. Nazare had never supposed to be this difficult, a peak with simple complexity was proving to have a peculiar weather system which tossed and turned at the change of a breeze. Not long ago they had been basking beneath the glow of the delicate sun, the snow melted beneath their feet. Now they were under attack. 

Rothmans releases on El Diablo's Social Club, a release which has been supported by the likes of Laurent Garnier and Detroit Swindle. It was the Max Essa remix which caught our eye however.

Mix of the Week #204: Diepvries - Hypno Jog

After seeing releases from a host of new artists last year, Lo Recordings presents ‘New Shoots’; a round up compilation of 2017 and an introduction to 2018 with 5 of our picks from 2017’s releases and 5 new offerings from Hatchback, Body-San, World Air, Hi & Saberhägen and SMBD.

Each artist showcases what they do best in the new material on ‘New Shoots’...

World Air maintains his signature sound with ‘Gherkin’; innocent and playful FM synths riding through live percussive drums.

Longing nostalgia warms through Hi & Saberhägen’s ‘Rare Obi Strip’, driven with distorted tape pads and saturated thumping drums.

Electronic weirdness and experimentation glitches away on SMBD’s ‘Saturn Night’, flaunting his technical skill and palette.

Body-San presents some new life to some new material from Hatchback, offering a blissful ‘coastal burner’ touch on his remix of ‘Creamwave Dreamcave’. Another one for the sun rise crew.

Finally, after a brief hiatus, Hatchback makes his long over due return with ‘The Video Suite’, a light and bouncy new age journey. We’re excited to say that this is a taster for his forthcoming album due later this year.

Italian production duo, Mushrooms Project, make their debut on Jansen Jardin with the wonderful, ‘Galattica’. Releases for labels like Under The Shade and Is It Balearic? and remixes for the likes of Tirk, Lipservice and Nang have introduced their blissed-out, Mediterranean sound to fans around the world.

Galattica is 11 minutes and 45 seconds of high plains drifting, dream disco for late night drives and sunset sessions. A lush combination of Euro disco arpeggios and West Coast guitars spill out across a landscape of live percussion, bass and dub acrobatics. This is the soundtrack to a Spaghetti Western set in Ibiza. A Fistful of Cervezas.

The remix comes courtesy of the mighty Chicago Damn who has been responsible for some extraordinary music from his debut on Mark E’s Merc label to releases on Claremont 56 and his own eponymous imprint. Here he re-imagines the original track in the image of Model 500, stripping away the music to a raw machine groove. Dark, atmospheric and undeniably aimed at the floor.

Months ago we made a very personal version of the song "El Todo y la Nada" by Fuel Fandango. The remix has been part of our sets through the last months and now we going to share it. For the original song, Fuel Fandango collaborated with El Niño de Elche, which together with the voices of Nita (Fuel Fandango), grants a special character to it. We used the voices of both Nita and El Niño de Elche as the basis on which our vision of the track is based. However, we only used a few voices that allowed us to approach them as another instrument, avoiding the appearance of any lyrics or a particular phrase in the remix, so that the groans of El Niño de Elche and Nita would speak for themselves. We had a great time remixing it, and we really liked it a lot during the last months. Now the track is all yours. We hope you like it! Free Download.

Hace prácticamente un año hicimos una versión muy personal del tema "El Todo y la Nada" de Fuel Fandango. La remezcla ha formado parte de nuestros sets de este último año y ahora nos apetece compartirla. Para el tema original Fuel Fandango contó con la colaboración de El Niño de Elche, lo que unido a las voces de Nita, otorgan al tema un carácter especial. Nosotros usamos las vocales tanto de Nita como de El Niño de Elche como base sobre la que hacer nuestra revisión del tema. Sin embargo, usamos sólo aquellas voces que nos permitían acercarnos a ellas como un instrumento más, evitando la aparición de alguna frase o palabra concreta en la remezcla, para que los quejidos de El Niño de Elche y Nita hablaran por sí mismos.
