I NEVER KNEW

 It all began with the love and passion to play music.  The desire for something more than just another garage band burned in the heart of lead vocalist/guitarist Brian Vengence.  

That began to work its way through in mid 2012 with a surprise visit from long time friend and bassist Marv Harley. They both shared the same love for music and vision for a band. They then enlisted guitarist Ronnie Ded to join them on their journey. Brian and Ronnie were writing some material prior but nothing ever became of it.  The three began learning songs and practicing them to a metronome.  The search for a drummer had begun.
  
  After months of searching, Brian then put up an ad on craigslist. Only minutes after posting it, it was answered by Alfonso Guzman (ex drummer of Order Of The Fly and The Stillwinter). The four clicked instantly and knew they had something they could be proud of. By January of 2013 they were ready to play shows. Even though they were still a young band, they were veterans at heart.

 In mid 2013 they decided to part ways with guitarist Ronnie Ded due to personal differences. They then picked up guitarist Mike Thompson. After one practice and a show they knew they had made the right choice in choosing Mike. Together they have the goal of reaching as many people with their music and making new friends along the way.

 Brian’s ability to write songs with good hooks, vocal melodies, and soulful guitar solos mixed with Alfonso’s almost poetic, fierce new school drum style along with Marv’s unorthodox bass style that bears his heart of gold and brought together with Mike’s high energy impacted with amazing guitar riffs makes Letters to Ash a must see band.
