This sound reminds me a bit of NFS 4, Need For Speed ​​in general.

This originally started as a Spring Yard Zone remix but during the process I remembered that I had always wanted to compose something I thought would fit for Sonic. So for this, I was inspired a lot by Michael and Janet Jackson and Tee Lopes who composed for Sonic Mania, going for that old New Jack Swing/ Japanese City Pop fusion with MJ's overall percussion drive and bass licks.
As for the name Diamond Palace, well it doesn't really make any sense for how this sounds, maybe some of the synths but the name sounded pretty.

Yep, much like an actual second chance, we're doing it again, and hopefully just as good as the last time!

I've been wanting to make sequels to some of my older tracks for a long time, and 2nd Chances (I'm dropping the numerical nomenclature now, it's an artifact of an abandoned project lol) was the first one I started. I saw how Waterflame made sequels to a few of his tracks (Glorious Morning and Clutterfunk are the ones that I know about), which is what planted the idea in my head in the first place.

My plan was to basically match the progression and feel of the original track while keeping it fresh, and I believe I met that goal. ^-^

No humorous quip this time. I'd like to invite you to reflect on change and the transitive nature of life.

That is what the Japanese phrase Mono No Aware means - the appreciation of impermanence. While I would never claim (unless otherwise noted) that I wrote a track with a specific theme in mind, I feel like that feeling carries through well here.

This track was supposed to be part of an album of similar(ish) music, but the rest of it was going at a glacial pace, this one had been ready for several months (I started it well over a year ago), and I hadn't made any releases yet this year (except for a remix for a contest I didn't end up placing in).

I'm also very proud of the cover art! It took a bit to get working (though, ironically, the base render was gave the least amount of trouble!), but it was absolutely well worth the effort! ^-^

Bionicle

I make the music I want to hear. My hope is that you enjoy it too <3

I've been making music since 2013, releasing since 2017. I enjoy and am inspired by artists as soft and melodic as Owl City, C418, and Snail's House, as hard and intense as Geoxor, Chiru-san, and poixone, as emo and rocky as Paramore, Cryoshell, and Vylet Pony (sometimes, she also does electronic music lol), and the game soundtracks of my childhood.

I've also done a handful of DJ performances starting in 2022, including three sets at The Bird (so far), a set at Outcome Unknown, and a set at Hyperfest 2024, and will be uploading those to my personal SoundCloud and Artist YouTube channel.
