Meeting, literally, on the streets of New York City almost 10 years ago, Niko Dalagelis (One Of Them) and Ryan Cavanagh (Slow Hands) combined to form their Duece Bigalow inspired Male Madame collaboration not long after.

Their mutual respect for all things Rob Scneider, and incredible admiration for fermented and distilled beverages might explain their limited discography. But that comes with no shortage of quality and variation in style. When not arguing over composition and theory (both of their studied fields), the two friends sporadically find the time between their solo pursuits to collectively craft music, Male Madame is just that.

And with that, we bring you Male Madame's first release of a two part series on Tigers on a Leash. Moving in a bit of a different direction after our last release, Sunny Saint Mark is going to keep things a little deeper. The smokey vocals and warm synths are perfect as we move into the winter here in NYC. With remixes by The Drifter and Cameo Culture rounding out the EP, this one's got a little something for the legs and for the brains.

I have been thinking about it a lot and I have decided that DUFFDISCO007 is the last bootleg I am going to press to wax. I do however want to continue re-imagining songs and giving my interpretation of them for you to play and listen to and so i'll be giving the reworks away for free. I have set up a donations page if anyone wanted to help with covering the costs of mastering future tracks as i'd still want the best sound possible as I can't afford to be paying for it all myself.

Musically, “Blame It On The Devil” features funky electronic melodies fused with bright uplifting vocals, groovy guitar riffs, and natural organic instrumentation. Produced by the Australian DJ, KOWL, the group’s new music borrows elements of nu-disco, french-house, and electro to create a signature synth-pop sound.
As with many of the songs by Robotikus, “Blame It On The Devil” was written primarily via email. Scott wrote the instrumental in a Sydney hotel room in 3 days and sent it over to Adam to add vocals in Melbourne. The song was then later finished by the producer and longtime collaborator, Cal Young (aka KOWL) in Tasmania.
Lyrically, the song is about betrayal and loss. "Blame It On The Devil" is a relationship plagued with cheating and the refusal of a guilty party to take responsibility for their actions. Telling the story of a doomed romance and the disintegration of trust between lovers, the singer pleads for answers and laments the lack of remorse exhibited by the adulterer who blames the devil for their sins.

Future Classic is excited to announce a new signing - a new band to emerge from Sydney's bubbling live music scene lead by Jarrah McCleary called Panama.

A classically trained pianist from the age of six, Jarrah McCleary grew up in the sticky heat of the Northern Territory.  His previous project, The Dirty Secrets saw the band working between Australia and London with iconic producer and engineer, Nick Terry (Klaxons, Libertines).

The first single from Panama is Magic, a modern summer anthem and something sure to warm you up if you're stuck in winter. Magic was produced and mixed in Los Angeles by Eric Broucek of DFA fame (Holy Ghost, Eleanor Friedberger, !!!) and will be released on vinyl with remixes by Permanent Vacation regulars Midnight Magic (you might of spotted their remix in The Magician's Magictape 24) and DFA heavyweight Gavin Russom (LCD Soundsystem & The Crystal Ark). Magic has been picking up lots of love from Australian radio too with triple j and community radio already getting behind it.

Panama's live show is already a huge hit having supported Dappled Cities, Parachute Youth and Elizabeth Rose (recorded for Live Feed on FBi 94.5). If you want to catch Panama's stellar live show in the flesh they'll be supporting Van She in Melbourne and Sydney as well as playing UNSW Roundhouse and supporting Northeast Party House at Goodgod Small Club in July.

The soundtrack for summer has just arrived! Bombstrikes present 'Flamingo', an outstanding release from Alexander Norman in collaboration with the legendary Dynamite MC. The original mix delivers an infectious laid-back groove with a hook that will not let go of your ears. All of which provides the perfect backing for the smooth flow of both Alexander Norman and Dynamite MC. Beatvandals turn in a remix which keeps that infectious hook but adds their impeccable dancefloor credentials. Kenny Beeper takes the tempo down again whilst delivering a huge electronic workout. Finally, there is the instrumental for this just want to groove things out. A huge release.
