A Psalm of David.

23 The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell[a] in the house of the Lord
Forever.

Sarah Flower Adams was a young woman of 43 when she died in 1848, and her home was at Harlow in the English county of Essex. Her hymns are more widely used in America than elsewhere, particularly amongst Unitarians.

Nearer, My God, to Thee is based on Jacob’s dream (Gen. 28:12) in which the ladder, set up on earth, reaches to heaven, a vision which the writer deftly weaves into her hymn:

There let the way appear,
Steps unto heaven;
All that Thou sendest me
In mercy given:
Angels to beckon me
Nearer, My God, to Thee,
Nearer to Thee!

Then, with my waking thoughts
Bright with Thy praise,
Out of my stony griefs
Bethel I’ll raise;
So by my woes to be
Nearer, My God, to Thee,
Nearer to Thee

Great Is Your Love

 James Edwin Orr was born in 1912. His education includes earned doctorates from universities in Europe, Asia, Africa, and America, including the Doctor of Philosophy from Oxford University and the Ed. D. from U.C.L.A. in 1971.Dr. Orr recalls that he wrote the Cleanse Me text, in 1936, during an intense movement of the Holy Spirit at the Easter, revival convention in Ngaruawahia, New Zealand—

 The revival news soon spread throughout all of New Zealand. Dr. Orr reports that as he was leaving New Zealand, four Aborigine girls approached and sang for him a beautiful Maori Song of Farewell.

       Mr. Orr was so impressed with the beauty of this Polynesian melody that soon afterward he wrote new verses to the tune on the back of an envelope. The text was based on the familiar words of Scripture found in Psalm 139:23-24:

 1787 Dr. John Rippon published A Selection of Hymns from the Best Authors as a supplement to Isaac Watts’ classic Psalms and Hymns. The book was an immense success. “The remarkable feature of the book,” writes Louis Benson, “is the great number of original hymns secured by him and there first printed.” Among these original hymns was the title “How Firm a Foundation.”

Shalom..Thank you for visiting my page.   I'm not a pro artist but I enjoy making music on my laptop giving praise and thanks to Our Heavenly father for all that He has done for me.


 A few years ago I became interested in learning more about the ancient Israelites to whom The Most High revealed Himself and who were the original writers of the Scriptures.  I embarked on the study of Ancient and Modern Hebrew, researching ancient manuscripts and archaeology to learn more about them.  I  discovered that God  has a name  which is YaHuWaH  rendered in most biblical translations as  LORD....this name  is represented by the modern letters YHVH (the poetic form of His name is YAH as in HalleluYAH ... and has been restored in places such as Psalm.68:4,  Isaiah 12:2 in the NKJV

.   I also learned that Jesus'  original name is Yahusha, now spoken most commonly in Hebrew  as Yeshua. For these reasons I am now using the "true names" of Our Heavenly Father and Our Messiah in my new music.  Baruch Shemo..Blessed be His Name.
