the core of "mimu" consists of the two austrians mimu merz and peter kutin, who have their origins in sound art, media arts and visual design, and the multi-instrumentalist and percussionalist david schweighart.
guest instrumentalists, which are always welcome, are allowed and absolutely wanted to keep their characteristic style of playing - as it's more like a visit and a conversation between all artists, between acoustic and electronic, than a rigid piece that follows a certain grid.

"mimu" signifies the importance of storytelling, the love for delicate sounds, the merge of experimental music and catchy, narrative singer-songwriting, flexibility and situationism - as music is being understood as a vivid animal that is running through metaphorical woods of imagination.
