I had a phenomenal time at my first Love Burn in Miami last week and absolutely thrilled that the highlight of my week playing at 2 hour Bass House & Tech House set at The Freakeasy's Kitty Kat Island on Friday night was recorded!  What an amazing feeling to rock a packed dancefloor full of my Bay Area crew and new fans from far and wide under a giant geometric cat with freakin' laser beams shooting out of its mouth!  Hope you can feel the HEAT (both literally and figuratively) when listening to this mix. Thanks to Radiohiro for having me play and for building such an awesome production. Brass tax always throws down excellent events and it's an honor to play the premiere after-party for the after-party in San Francisco, Supper of Survivors. Only the hardcore survive. This set is comprised of almost all new material (played two classics for good measure), and it was mega-fun to play. Had the time of my life, hope you like it as much it was to play.

I felt so inspired by the people present at Decadent Oasis that Monday night at Burning Man. The vibe was great, the sound was on point, and the organizers made me feel right at Home. Thank you to Camp Decadent Oasis for welcoming me to play. Feeling the LOVE!

This set was inspired by my first return visit to my roots town of Asheville, NC in 20 years. A town where you can still find a speakeasy where they roll up the rug on the dancefloor and you can dance barefoot all night to a Ragtime or Western Swing band while the bartender mixes you pipe smoke Old Fashioneds. The town that provided my musical roots, before I ever knew that electronic music existed. Here's to you, Asheville. California may have my heart, but you still have my soul.

Disco, Funk, and Cowbells (Live at Neurodancer Thanksgiving 2020)

From funky, soulful beats, to sexy late-night vocal grooves, Calgary based DJ, LaRiss, has been sharing her passion for music with the world since 2016. As a classically trained musician and dancer, music is a part of her soul and heritage. Armed with an extensive collection of vinyl and 45's, LaRiss began playing old school funk and nostalgic sets for small events in 2016. Inspired by the phenomenal talent of the local DJ's in the Calgary scene, she discovered her true joy and began playing house sets in 2019. Because of her passion for hunting down new tracks and her intuitive storytelling through music, LaRiss has a keen sense of how to keep the dancefloor moving and listeners engaged. With experience ranging from large scale festivals, like Burning Man to regional events and club nights, LaRiss has a discerning musical background that can adapt to any setting and is quickly becoming a recognizable face in the Calgary house club circuit.
