43 tracks in this beast. Started with a few drum tracks and the first string part after I improvised the riff. I then built on it with loads of new synth instruments and gave it a breakdown - really enjoyed playing all the string parts on my keyboard! Came back to it tonight to structure it out and mix it up bass wise then I mixed it and here it is. Concept wise it's real J. Cole inspired and the tracks gonna be sick.

I tracked down the original high school brass band J Cole sampled for his single and then made some drums and played with the sample a bit after I chopped it up and all that. I'm still very new to sampling so this is more practice than anything atm.

This was a very sporadic and quick beat I made the other week after chopping up some new samples from old tunes and stuff. I think that the choir I sampled gives a good dark contrast on the down beat before it goes back into the chorus section with the country and western vibe again. It's about 30 layers in Logic Pro.

Had a free yard for a few minutes and stopped writing to record some new jams. Messing around a new song from this weeks work that's inspired a cross over album bringing my songwriter and rap side out on the same tracks, I write tons of material with multi genre's but this one came really quickly [The lyrics are finished now]. I was playing around after the chorus ended and improv'd an old N Dubz chorus over the outro. I overdubbed a couple guitar tracks using my acoustic and some Logic Pro amp plug ins. This is all real rough just to show my fam Jon the vocal melody of a tune but I like the sound so far. I guess the album it's gonna be on is like Country Grime with some 808 & Heartbreak inspired production flavours too.

I started this randomly at 4am this morning when I was listening to some Dot, I decided to sample Robert Miles' classic "Children" and turn this into a remake of Overload by Dot Rotten. This is a real rough mix and it's all still in the works I'm gonna be learning the synth and string sections by ear tonight and then I'll build it up more.
