Danish production powerhouse Ghosten has regularly impressed under a variety of guises. His latest offering Abandoned Planet on @monologues sees him unleash a Balearic meet’s seriously funked-up house track. It’s a track with huge dancefloor potential courtesy of the rawkus funk infused bassline coupled with hands in the air keys and a truly infectious vocal.

@tooslowtodisco keep the soaked disco vibes flowing with a brand new 7 track Double 10" EP from Australian producer @DaveMathmos. It's also the 15th edition of TSTD Edits, a series which has been packed with quality. Dave has a long history with the label, being behind the first ever TSTD Edits release, and it's the perfect match as he continues to craft sublime Slo-Mo disco moments. 

Our premier from the EP today is I Betcha, a ridiculously smooth 70's disco gem. Instantly recognisable, this edit adds extra dancefloor grit to what is already classic jam, revitalising it for the 2023 dancefloor

As we head towards the summer months here in Europe we continue to be treated to a cornucopia of wonderfully Balearic sun infused music and @Underset's Woogie Hunter, incoming on @thesoundgardenrecords, is a perfect example of just how brilliant some of the current crop of Balearic inspired releases can be. 

Imbued with a cheerful sense of style, warmth and grace it's a track which will be best enjoyed with the sun on your face and cocktail in hand and preferably the sand between your toes. With a decidedly 80's edge courtesy of the delectable synths this is a track which will be finding it's way into many a DJ set in the coming months if there is any justice at all.

Demuir is a artist we have been following for the last few years. If you are looking for sublime house music packed with club nous then he is always a go-to artist.

His latest release see's him unleash a brand new album Under The Waning Moon, via the equally excellent Purveyor Underground Inc.

Featuring 16 tracks in total inclduing 14 tracks of sublime house music and a couple of intros and interludes each track in it's own right is a bone fide club bomb.

Our premier today from the album is an absolute club throbber in the shape of Daddy's Girl. Proper classic funk fueled bass vibes all the way on this one, adding in huge speaker shakin drums, laser synths and a brilliant hooky spoken vocal this one is the real deal as far as peak time club tracks go.

Following on from their eclectic and lauded volume 1 Italian label Manzo Edits have lined up another four heaters for our dancing pleasure and as per Volume 1 they have some serious disco inspired heat in store for us.

James Curd has been in unstoppable form this year and here he delivers again via his brilliant new label Pronto.

Our premier today Tried for love see's him collaborate with one of the voices of House music, Robert Owens. It's a track packed with both feel-good energy and dancefloor bounce which belies the love torn story contained in the lyrics.

It's a wicked track which lands via his Mullen It Over EP, which also contains four mixes of the title track featuring Jonasclean on vocal and remixes from Fred P and Marcel Vogel.

A couple of weeks back we premiered @matt-masters 'Look What You've Done' on one of our favourite labels Fred Everything's 'Lazy Days'. It was a ridiculously classy slice of deep house fusing a bossa rhythm with deep percussion, liquid synths and a proper ear worm vocal. 

Now Matt is back and determined to one up himself with the equally brilliant 'I've Opened My Eyes'. An entirely different beast it touches on modern soul and Nu Disco. Smooth summer music all day long.

Topping all of this off the label, @fredeverything's Lazy Days, have drafted in the supremely talented Art of Tones (@llorca), an artist who we love here at LV and who continues to delight with every single release. Safe to say that he has delivered yet again, injecting a  large slice of funk into proceedings with hooky guitar licks and an effusive bassline. Full of hope and joy this is exactly what 2023 should sound like.

Nickodemus has had a fantastic career dating back to the 90's during which time he has delivered seven albums, a multitude of EP's, 12"s and some truly great compilations. Fusing rich sounds from across the globe with electronic beats and modern production nous he is a truly inspiring producer.

He is now on the cusp of releasing his 8th album, the very aptly titled Soul & Science which lands imminently via his own celebrated label Wonderwheel. Featuring 11 tracks, the album features a host of talented collaborators including Candela All-Stars (with Quantic writing for the horn section), Mauro Durante, Alsarah, Antonio Lizana & Pat Kalla.

In Nickodemus's words Soul & Science is an "NYC conceived musical tapestry aiming to explore the relationship between humanity and technology in a rapidly changing world".

Our premier today from the album is Rumba Tobacco y Ron which was recorded in Puerto Rico with the Candela All-Stars. It's a wonderfully rich and energetic Puerto Rico meets Cuba fusion which also features Haydee Soul on vocal duties and the supremely talented Quantic writing the horn section.

Originally released back in 2017 You Gotta Move was an instant club hit with remixes from Ashley Beedle, Dr Packer, Julian Sanza and Mr Mulatto. 

Now 5+ years later Situation have unleashed @YSE Saint Laur’ant on this already brilliant track and as you would expect from this seriously talented producer he has delivered the dancefloor gold dust. Described by the label as Electro Dub Funk, I'm certainly not going to disagree. If you can imagine classic Prince at his funk zenith fused with classic 80’s club electro then you are on the right lines.

@jerk-boy has quickly become a real favourite artists here at LV. @seanmccabe is a producer we love here at LV. He always delivers the highest quality cuts and his remix of Madeeha's 'Still Standing Here' on his own @goodvibrationsbristol is no exception. Smooth and delightful and with a great backstory it's one of the Soulful house cuts of the year to date for sure. Combining an afro edged backing track with Madeeha's heart warming vocal delivery this one deserves all the plaudits, and plays, that it gets.

@late-nite-tuff-guy is one of the legends of the modern disco scene and indeed one of the artists who helped set the scene back in motion over the last 15 years. Having delivered a multitude of sure-fire edits over the years we always keep a keen eye out for his latest releases.

His latest outing see's him go to work on a previously unreleased Silk track Somethin' 'Bout the way which was recently rediscovered and dates back to their 70's heyday, so something of a holy grail release.

As you might expect from one of Philly International's finest this one is really special from the euphoric pianos to the immense vocal. The 1970's loss is definitely our gain in 2023. 

Released via the excellent @asandbees and as always with the label 50% of the profits from this release will be donated towards the British Beekeepers Association.

@frapperecords have been making some great noise over the last couple of years, hitting the ground running with a superb stream of EP's from label heads @basiledesuresnes & Ten Fingerz along with some great V/A 12"s featuring some of the most essential French talent around.

Their latest release is a rather brilliant triple tracker from Basile featuring this monstrous hypnotic dubbed out string-laden disco house alongside the classic house vibes of Wot U Think and the rather funky disco chop up I Gotta Find You.
