We welcome Savvas Karampinos for the hundredth edition of the 'Deep In Mix' series.

Born in Chicago and raised under the sun-soaked skies of Athens, Savvas has been a guiding force in the underground electronic music scene for over two decades. Now calling the tranquil island of 'Crete' home, Savvas's journey into music began in the early 1990s, when he first encountered the rave culture that would forever shape his sound. By the late '90s, he was spinning records at local parties, blending Techno and Breakbeat with a passion that set him apart. In 2004, under the alias Acropod, Savvas released a full-length album on Klik Records, marking the beginning of a prolific production career that has only gained momentum. Renowned for his genre-defying sets, he skillfully merges Deep House, Ambient, and Progressive House sounds to take audiences on an uninterrupted musical exploration.

Savvas's productions have caught the attention of some of the most respected names in the scene, with his work featured on renowned imprints like Anjunadeep, Bekool Records, Saisons Musique, Hoomidaas, Manjumasi Music, and Proton. Shaped by the intelligent DnB movement of the 90s rave scene, his sound is a dynamic interplay of rich textures and compelling rhythms that continue to evolve.

As 2025 approaches, Savvas's lineup of forthcoming releases is already brimming with excitement and promise, including a new EP on Proton and an ambient collection on Satya Records. Each track adds to his growing legacy, blending the familiar with the unexpected, and gently urging listeners to relax and lose themselves in the sound. Enjoy the mix!
