On April 23rd, we aka Disco Bizarre were invited to rock the KitKat Club live stream with our signature sound. Before the pandemic we hosted the disco floor at Kitty weekly and it was so nice to bring funky vibrations back into our homebase 🥰 Thanks to the whole team and especially Cara Carpaccio, Lisbird, RSS Disco and Billy Idle for the exceptional sets.

Moodfamily’s seventh instalment might just sound as lucky as the number predicts. Harted releases his 'Wander EP' and manages to define his sound from the get go. His debut fluently rolls through your neighbourhood with the windows down, turning heads as he passes by, sounding smooth yet bumpy and captivating at the same time. Although the EP sounds ahead of its time, Harted stays - somewhat - true to his history in the harder genres, yet with a firm look forward.

MF007 brings 3 original cuts to the table along with 2 remixes courtesy of label friend AMyn and Laut & Luise’s Nutia, both delivering a unique take on the originals. AMyn takes his walk off the beaten track, offering a peek at his upcoming album on Moodfamily. At the same time Nutia shows his unique style, dropping a steady groove while at the same time revealing all the subtleties hidden within.

Roots Panorama aka Deetron and Ripperton must love living life on the edge if this vibrant clash of noise is something to go by. You will need to listen really intently to the Deetron mix of Three otherwise you might lose yourself in the midst of fierce techno rhythms and a killer House bassline, with an array of insistant electronic sound filling in the spaces between. And just to make the point again, a Beeetz version follows – you get the need for the three eee’s now. The Ripperton mix then destroys the template to get deeper with yet more devastating bass and this time classic piano which come together in a priceless, uplifting moment. 8

Roots Panorama - Threee (Ripperton Mix) Versatile records - Promocut

After two months of the resourceful EP "O Futuro do Passado" presented by the Portuguese duo Ohxalá (@ohxala), we are delighted to release this remix EP. The duo consciously selected collaborations with diverse artists, which gave a gripping mystery as the four remixes resonate sequentially. The raw nature and essence from the original EP remain, and beforehand we all gain accurate and vigorous remixes.

"Ovoavoa" gains an elegant and delicate version proposed by Thommie G. The second track is a remix of "Ossâim" delivered by our dearly beloveds Maracuyá & Nillo, the track was celestially reconfigured.  Under the unique and vibrant perspective of Dandara, "Urubu Violeta" gains a toned delirious. Finishing the selection, a second remix of "Ossâim" was born in MiRET's hands, he spared no effort to remix a devastatingly consistent track.

As always we are targeting slow pace feelings - which certainly does not lack when dealing with this remix EP. These 27min filtered onto four gold-coated interpretations are one of our emphatic invitations in order to you explore and discover the mysteries that surround downtempo's independent music scene. Reflect upon the past, look at the future, the future in the past is always an interim report.
