Medley - Pallet On Your Floor/Never Drive A Stranger

This is the first in a series of interpretations of old blues tunes I'm going to be putting up here. The aim is to try and retain something of the original whilst doing something new at the same time. 

To start, a (very) loose interpretation of Blind Lemon Jefferson's "One Kind Favor". It owes a fair bit to a version I heard John Hammond doing, but the guitar is in Cm tuning which lends it a unique sound.

Here's this week's blues.... this time an interpretation of Robert Johnson's "Hellhound On My Trail". Uses the same C minor tuning as last week's "One Kind Favour".

Recorded at home whilst my own Hellhound (pictured) was chewing my clip-on tuner.... little sod!

Back on track with the weekly upload after a very busy couple of weeks rehearsing and recording with The Wagon Tales. Here's my version of Randy Newman's "You've Got A Friend In Me" done in a country blues stylee.........

My latest weekly(ish) track upload. Instead of a reworking of a blues tune I decided to do a blues version of something a bit different - Richard Thompson's classic tale of biker fatalism "1952 Vincent Black Lightning".

Played in Open D tuning on my '50s Gibson Southern Jumbo.
