This song was inspired by unfortunate events that took place in my life. I know this year has been tough for many of us, for many reasons. a couple of weeks ago i decided to "remix" a tune from the 2000s that i liked a lot. at first, the main bassline seems to be the core of the track, but it quickly evolves into something bigger, surrounded by ideas which stemmed from the original track without having any direct connections to it. because this meant restructuring the entire track, i felt like the term "vision" was more appropriate than "remix", since it encapsulates my vision of what this song would sound like if it was produced today, as well as my visions of how i would musically interpret the song title "uptight".
