"Steal My Girl" is a song by English-Irish boy band One Direction. It is the lead single from their upcoming fourth studio album Four. On 27 April 2014, it was confirmed that One Direction were working on their fourth studio album.[2] Good Charlotte was reported to have collaborated with band members Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson for writing songs.[3] McFly members Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones and Dougie Poynter also teamed up with Niall Horan to write for the album. Rock band Kodaline wrote an "unrequited love song" with Harry Styles. Rock band The 1975 were also chosen by One Direction to work on the album. Other people involved in the album include singers John Legend and Emeli Sandé and producer Naughty Boy.[4] Payne claimed that the album would be "edgier" and that the group have written most of the songs for it.[5]
The name and cover of the album were announced on 8 September on One Direction's official website, along with a free download of a song called "Fireproof", which was available for 24 hours.[6] Horan stated that the reason for the free download was "because you have supported us so much, we wanted to give a little something back".[1] "Fireproof" was written by Payne and Tomlinson along with John Ryan, Jamie Scott and Julian Bunetta, who also wrote their single "Story of My Life".[7] In the 24-hour span, 1.1 million downloads were generated.[8] The song was put on the band's Vevo on 22 September.[9]
In an interview with Simon Cowell, it was revealed that one of the songs for the album will be titled "18". The song was written by Ed Sheeran, who also wrote "Little Things" and "Moments" for the group.[10][11]

"Do They Know It's Christmas?" is a song written by Bob Geldof and Midge Ure in 1984 to raise money for relief of the 1983–85 famine in Ethiopia. The original version was produced by Midge Ure and released by Band Aid on 28 November 1984.[1]
In October 1984, a BBC television report by Michael Buerk was aired in the UK, which highlighted the famine that had hit the people of Ethiopia. Irish singer Bob Geldof saw the report and was inspired to raise money to relieve those affected by the famine.[2] He called Midge Ure from Ultravox and together they quickly co-wrote the song, "Do They Know It's Christmas?".[1]

Geldof put together a group called Band Aid, consisting of leading British and Irish musicians who were among the most popular of the era.[3][4] On 25 November 1984, the song was recorded at Sarm West Studios in Notting Hill, London, and was released four days later.[3][5]
The original version became the biggest selling single in UK Singles Chart history, selling a million copies in the first week alone, and passing three million sales on the last day of 1984.[6] It stayed at Number 1 for five weeks, becoming Christmas number one, and has sold 3.7 million copies domestically.[7] It remained the highest selling single in UK chart history until 1997, when Elton John's "Candle in the Wind 1997" was released in tribute to Princess Diana, which sold almost 5 million copies in Britain.[8] Worldwide, the single had sold 11.8 million copies by 1989.[9]

Information

Made in the A.M. is the fifth studio album by the English-Irish group One Direction, released on 13 November 2015, by Columbia Records and Syco Music. The album is the group's first one without member Zayn Malik, who left the group in March 2015, and is their last before going on hiatus in 2016.[3] The album was preceded by the internationally successful singles "Drag Me Down", released on 31 July 2015, and "Perfect", released on 16 October 2015.

Upon its release, the record received favourable reviews from critics. It debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart with 93,189 copies, and at number two on the US Billboard 200, with 402,000 first-week sales. The album's first-week sales were higher than the band's previous album, Four, which amassed an opening sale of 387,000 in 2014, breaking a predicted boy band trend of consecutive declining album sales.[4][5] Additionally, Made in the A.M is the second fastest-selling album of 2015 in the UK, surpassed only by Adele's 25, a week after the album's release.[6]

 Dangerous Woman is the upcoming third studio album by American singer Ariana Grande, set to be released on May 20, 2016, by Republic Records. The album is the follow-up to her previous studio album, My Everything (2014). The album's lead single, "Dangerous Woman", was released on March 11, 2016 to positive reviews from music critics. Revolution Radio is the upcoming twelfth studio album by American punk rock band Green Day, due for release on October 7, 2016 through Reprise Records.[1] The lead single, "Bang Bang", premiered on August 11, 2016. The album's title track, "Revolution Radio", was released on September 9, 2016. The song, "Still Breathing", was also released on September 23, 2016, prior to the album's release.

It is their first album since 21st Century Breakdown (2009) to be recorded as a trio, after Jason White returned to being a touring member in 2016.[2][3][4]Work on the album began in 2014 after a break following their "99 Revolutions Tour",[5] following the release of ¡Uno! ¡Dos! and ¡Tré! in 2012.

After stating that their previous trilogy of albums had "absolutely no direction to them" and attempted to be "prolific for the sake of it," lead singer and guitarist Billie Joe Armstrong claims that their new record is "not so much a makeover as a make under."[6] The lead single, "Bang Bang," described by Armstrong is about "the culture of mass shooting that happens in America mixed with narcissistic social media."[5] Armstrong also stated that the whole album is meant to reflect the current state of violence in the United States.

Columbia Records released it on November 1, 1994, as the lead single from her fourth studio album and first holiday album, Merry Christmas (1994). The track is an uptempo love song that includes bell chimes, heavy back-up vocals, and synthesizers. It is also considered the best-selling modern day Christmas song.
