She’s pretty in pink, she’s everything and more that’s great about being young and in love.  In this scenario, Pamela moved to Ibiza in the 70s to chase a dream.  A calling from Tanit brought her to Pikes, the infamous party hangout in the hills of San Antonio where she was rumoured to be the lover, friend, long lost family member or muse of Tony “the booze soaked pussy hound” who owned the place back then.  This is a copy of the tape he allegedly made for her that was found under his bed when the room was cleaned for the final time after his death.”

The original release of Oliver Dollar & Jason Hodges ‘Don’t You Lose Hope’ dropped on Industry Standard in April this year to much acclaim, being one of the biggest releases to date on Oliver’s label… So we thought this one deserved some remix love!

First up comes Dallas’ deep house legend JT Donaldson. An artist who has kept up a constant flow of top quality deep house productions for well over two decades. Following on the heals of a recent Classic Music release JT delivers us a super slick deeper take on the original, using his signature drum programming, some additional keys & the original vocal to take his version into a new realm. This oozes quality. 

Next up we welcome the Brooklyn’s Barcelona resident Ralph Session, who takes up his New York house influences and delivers the more upbeat remix on this package. His version packs a punch with some sublime disco string stabs and jackin beats that instantly lift this record to a floor bomb. Peak time house music with some extra disco goodness.

Finally we bring in the UK’s Lewis Boardman, an old friend and label mate of Oliver’s, who freshens up the package taking the track in a completely different direction. This one is a crunchy, wonkier number with a lead synth line that arrives like something from a Green Velvet sound bank! It’s for the late night sets, when you need to send the dance floor to a different dimension.

Red Axes have just dropped the recording of a very special 5 hour set in Room 2. Now available to stream, this exclusive recording from this time last year is a deep-dive into the staple sound of the punk-edged duo.

Made up of Tel-Aviv Based producers and DJs Dori Sadovnik & Niv Arzi, Red Axes have been more than catching our eyes and ears over the past few years.  So much so, we’re keen to share our passion for the duo elsewhere, even taking them to other venues such as Village Underground for another special extended session earlier this year.

The pair have roots in rock music and begun their creative collaboration when they were in a band together. So perhaps it is unsuprising that today, their electronic music projects delve into a sound that roams through psychedelic electronica, post-punk and new wave elements, often dipping into a retro rock and 80’s hued sound that first fuelled their sonic spark.
