This is a more complex structure I wanted to explore, I added much more textures in the background for a much more defined world. The base chords of the song were recorded in one take and were not retouched, this is pure energy transfer. I chose this name which means Magic Mountain in tibetan because when I was listening to the song I kind of saw a mountain but I was floating in the skies too and looking around, it was magnificent.

This is part of a series of meditational music I made in 1983, trying to capture the way scenery looked in music I called "Scenic Music".  A 'live' in my apartment-track, recorded on an old 2-track cassette, I liked the title--then, last year, when I watched woodpeckers fly I felt why this title fits, and dedicate this to those amazingly singular and poised birds(you can see the woodpecker on YouTube, called "Woodpecker Wondering at the Snow".
