he is fairly new to the scene but has been playing out and producing for
the last 5 years. His sound is a new school approach to jungle, coupling
too many snares with big subs, often accompanied by samples from grime,
rap, reggae, and house. Arlo’s music has gained recognition from some of
drum and bass's biggest names, and multiple of his productions have been
played on BBC Radio 1. Arlo is looking to develop and grow as an artist
through the rest of 2023.

It’s an absolute honor to be asked to record an Essential Mix for the BBC Radio 1, the pinnacle of all dj-mixes. Showcasing everything I’ve played in 15 years of being a dj, from the early beginning, a sound that has shaped me as an artist, to what inspires me now and everything in between the house spectrum. 

I spend hours in finding the right tracks as there were too many for me which meant something for me at a specific time. If I see the track title, I always remember where I first heard or played it. It creates a memory and this for me is something music does to people, it brings memories and that’s what I tried to do with this mix, my musical journey with tracks that mean something to me.

Bradford is not necessarily a place at the forefront of your mind when thinking about House & Techno music. However, bucking the trend and putting the City on the map is the considerably talented Lewis Murch. The Hannah Wants UK DJ search winner of 2018 has caused quite a stir on the scene in recent times with his powerful live sets, full of deep cuts and rhythmic percussion and ever developing production amassing a flourishing reputation as one of today's rising stars. His sound is raw, underground and edgy in dynamic, fusing together subtle elements of Techno, Hard house and much more, Lewis Murch has crafted his own signature style that ignites any given dance floor that he conducts. 

Releasing on imprints such as TRICK in 2022, Open House and OVRDOSE Records pays testament to his substantial credibility as an artist as he continues to gain great exposure and following. His relentless work ethic combined with natural talent has seen Lewis gain a number of notable accolades over recent times that has led to some well-respected residencies and billings including the cult-followed; We Are Fstvl and the much famed Ibiza Fashion Festival.

Lewis Murch has continuously frequented lineups the length and breadth of the country and further afield as his acoustic pilgrimage continues at pace. Some highlights include performances at Ibiza Rocks, Eden and Es Paradis on the revered White Isle and Ministry Of Sound in the capital plus breaching a whole array of famed venues.

Highly focused and energized, tick boxes are being checked at a high rate and will continue to be delivered over the coming year with further releases being signed to some high caliber labels as his sustained march on the scene. Lewis now developing his sound to infuse his rooted sound of UKG/Bass/Speed Garage and beyond into Techno/Hardhouse and many other Sub forms of House music infused into one which is where he stands out from the crowd. 
Expect high energy and technical mixing and mastery with Lewis's sets. 
He consistently breaks down barriers within the music industry with his intense energy during his sets and continues his growth in the industry. 

The future is more than bright for Lewis as his musical adventures bloom and the city of Bradford has a new star in the making.
