This one belongs with some other recent pieces that owe an emotion and a certain aspiration to Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays.... something that was so well expressed in that Leonard Cohen lyric where he writes about "a secret chord... The fourth, the fifth, the minor fall and the major lift..." My hope for all of you, is that after a most difficult year, the major lift catches up with all of us and carries us into tomorrow.
