Alexa is a cross-disciplinary artist and pedagogue who makes work in the margins between Theatre, Live Art/Performance, and Installation. Alexa is fascinated with ideas around archives and collections, site/place, archaeology, mythology and folklore, ritual processes, shamanism, and the body. Her work is characterised by site-specific environments, found and made totemic objects, performable costumes, and organic materials, within immersive performance environments. In her teaching and practice-based research Alexa is interested in creating immersive practical enquiries, and alternative training techniques which are rooted in meditative and or embodied practices. Alexa has worked as a visiting-practitioner/lecturer at  a number of leading arts institutions in the UK and abroad and has been a lecturer in Theatre and Performance at Goldsmiths College, University of London, since 2012.
