Glad to be sharing this one with the world! Hawk was inspired by both the music we’ve been into and the weather (sounds generic, but true!). We’ve been loving the many tracks out there recently that combine a deep, rumbling bassline and percs with a lot of rhythm and goove, along with colorful vocals/vox shots. We wanted to create something that ties into that movement.
As for the weather, well, when we sit in the studio to work on our material, we’re undoubtedly influenced by what we were doing in the past 24-48h. And here in Montreal, it had started to get warmer outside as Summer came about (after a long, painful winter). That inspired us to create a playful track that builds anticipation and sets the mood for a rooftop party or an all-nighter of bouncy tech house. So here it is: Hawk. Enjoy! L&W

Dawn. A very special track to us, on which we’ve had the pleasure to work with Stonehouse.

We actually started building this track a while back, but had put it aside for a bit. A few months later, with new ideas and new inspiration, we decided to pick up the track where we had left off, and to flip it. We couldn’t have been more delighted to have Joe jump on this one with us then, with his own flavour and spices. The result : a deep, dark, sexy groover that get you hypnotized and in the mood for whatever the night brings.
